Over at Crafty Pad it is already challenge number 12!
and this time is it a recipe challenge.
we are looking for you to use any Faith/Ted/Butterfly from
Crafty Pad Stamp Range.
Now our recipe is to use along with your Crafty Pad Stamp
As usual there is a yummy wee prize for the lucky winner.
So I have been a bit obsessed with my favourite butterfly stamps
from Crafty pad in the last wee while I thought I will ink up
Ted with a Flower
I have used a circular flower brad ......
do you think I will get away with that....
as I have just realised I have missed out the circle DUH!!!!
( Debbie will be rapping my knuckles with a ruler!
she is such a hard task master!)
flower...yes I have two of them...
Ribbon.....uhh hu I have a bonnie blue one to go with backing card.
And last but not least a bonnie wee heart Charm!!!
He is coloured in with distressing inks....
I must admit after using promarkers almost exclusively
I find the pale result takes a bit of getting used to.
I do like the result but have a tendency to over colour the image.
So there you go.....
No butterflies.....not one......not one at all......
not even a wee one.......
ACH!!!
Who am I trying to kid!!!
I love these butterflies!!!
To be honest , just between you & me...
I made this one first and did get the circle in it!
but I saw wee Ted looking at me and thought....
I better ink that poor wee Ted up and stamp with him!
So here we have it. I have used two Butterflies.
The circle started as pink card, but I used chalk inks taking
the sweet pea colours from the pretty ribbon I wanted to use
and then used tissue to smudge them all together.
Is there a proper name for this effect?
I made a big flower from two punches and a Button.
The butterflies are coloured using whisper pens & glitter.
The backing paper is Basic Gray.
And the wee charm is a butterfly!
I have used a claw clippie thingy to attach it to the card
so it can be removed afterwards & used on keyrings
or as a moblie phone charm.

A lassie at work asked me to make a Mothers day card for her to give
and I was telling her about this one I had made
as she was asking for these sort of colours.
So I took it in to show her, and ended up agreeing to sell it to her.
And getting orders for a few other cards too!!!!
