cheers!

A big thank you with
and even bigger thank you tag!

Since hubby started his new job,
and is no longer around to take
the girlie dogs on their afternoon
walk, we have started them with
a dog walker once a day.

Our usual fab dog walker
was going to be on holiday but her
friend would be able to fill in for her.

Then at weekend Miss Bella Boo
sliced a huge chunk of her pad off
on her back paw, cutting into an artery
and was a very poorly girl.

I did manage to swap shifts and days off
so that I was at home with her for the first week
but the following week, our relief dog walk
did us a huge favour!

Bella spent the day at her house,
including the morning sitting outside
a cafe, enjoying the fuss of everyone
as they came for coffee!!

So as a thank you,
a bottle of her favorite tipple
and a tag to decorate it!

The tag is huge, honest!
Its not just a tag and
a miniature of gin!

Base stamping is a pale brown
of memento ink, then darker brown
butterflies and some copper heat
embossed butterflies to finish.

The poorly pup,
who is now well on the mend!
Resting her leg on the first evening.

It's the sad wee face and big brown eyes
that get me every time!

Taking it easy.....

Now down to a smaller bandage,
but a nightmare keeping it clean and dry
in this awful weather.

The vets dress it twice a week,
I dress it usually twice in between
due to the dressing getting soaked,
muddy,
or just plain falling off!

We have now got five different doggy boots,
none of which fit properly
after the padding of the vets dressings!
So an empty IV bag does the trick!

Hope you are grand

It's been a while......

As you can imagine, it has been difficult
adjusting to loosing my Mum.
It is true that you don't know
what you have till it's gone.
I haven't done much crafting lately,
have gone to a few craft days,
including two amazing GJWHF days.

But today, I want to share with you
a memory box I made for my Mum.

If you are on my Facebook
you will have seen this already.

There are a fair few photo's.

The lid.

The papers are layered on white card
stock that I inked using distressing inks.

I stamped the image too far up
so you don't see it very well once
the lid is on.

The lid, my favourite bit.

I was really struggling with this new blogger,
Thank goodness Pam told me how to
change it back to the old layout.

Anyway..... enough of my rambles,
how have you been ??

a piece of work

I fell in love with making canvas
pieces after doing one last year
at the first
Girls Just Wanna have fun
with Kath, Debbi & Anne.

The photos are again nae great,
as they say round here.

The first three here, were Christmas gifts.

This one was my Mother in Law, and very inspired
by the one we did at the girls day.

~~~~~T~~~~~
This one is made using various bits from our
niece Robyn and her new husband Paul's wedding.
Including the menu, invitation,
the seed packet all the ladies at the wedding
were given for favours,
and some raffia held the menu scrolled up.
The birds were used to decorate the
hall, there was a bird theme
the whole way through the wedding.
I edged them with inks,
added stitching and gems for eyes.
~~~~~T~~~~~

The next one is using photos
of a lovely friends wee girl.
What a beautiful wee honey she is too!

The last one,
is kinda personal to me.
It is representative to changes
in my life.

I really enjoyed making all of these.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Wishing you all many good things in 2012.

bit of this and that!

Hello, hello!
I trust this finds you all happy & well.

Three cards and three doggy photo's to share
with you before I go wondering to
catch up with you all.

A card for a lady at work with a special birthday.
This was bigger than normal for me, an 8 x 8 inch
since it was everyone in the dept to sign.

The butterfly die drove me nuts! I am not sure
if it is a duff die or what, but it protests at even
cutting through vellum!!!
It is my entry in the
~ Papertake weekly challenge ,
who want die cuts,
and my first entry in Flutter by Wednesdays
who want a butterfly on the card.

~~~~~T~~~~~
This one was sent with my cheque to Debbi
with my payment to the next Girls just wanna have fun day!
Are you going?
I loved the last one, and can't wait till October!
I am nae happy with the ribbon flower
at the top of the card, the button
is too wee and it just looks a bit faffy! lol.
~~~~~T~~~~~

The last card, I really like.
But the photo is awful!
I took it at the last moment before
I left for work, and it shows!

I have also just noticed that the wee
owl charm is facing the wrong way!

I am enetering this card in the Creative Inspiration challenge
who want text, but not a sentiment on a card!
( thanks Nat!)

~~~~~T~~~~~
So..... time for a doggy photo update!
Miss Poppy-dog has taken to claiming the foot
stool under the window.....
mainly to stop Bella getting up on it!
Which Miss Bella-Boo is not best pleased with!
But they still love each other....
Most of the time!
I hope you are all grand.
Much love
Sister, Sister x
It was my sisters birthday earlier this month.
I made a few bits and pieces for her.
This was a wee altered box, the first
one I have done, and I am not sure of the
end result but my sister loved it.
A beaded brooch.
My attempt of a shrink plastic keyring,
based on Kath's shown here.
Love is, is my sisters fave passage
and I have used this stamp
in various makes.
Simple earrings with glass cross beads.
The finished card,
inspiration from Tiets
I should have made another fold next the panel
the Fifty is on, the card was quite thick &
it didn't sit as flush as I would have liked.
The Love is stamp is used here again.
I am so behind on blogging.....again......
hope you are all well!
WOYWW butterflies and boots.......
Wednesday again already....
I am turning into my mother
"where do the days go?"
ANYWAY............
WOYWW
This is what I am wroking on today.
It is based on a design I saw the other day,
I don't know what you call this style,
but it is something special for my
much older sister
who is turning 50 next month.....
Even though she is ten years older
than me.....it does not mean
that I will be 40.....
Moving swiftly back to the card.
Tiets has this beautiful fold of a card
over on the Ribbon girl Challenge.
I have seen some of Tiets work before
and it is just stunning!
I am not sure how well my one will work,
the base card is slightly too thick
and I should have done an extra wee fold
to allow for it to fold properly.
It is still a work in progress.
Another work in progress.....
Miss Bella-Boo.....
she is a funny wee dog!
You ask her if she wants to go
for a walk and she gets up and collects
you her lead or some shoes....
This is her with my Hubby's walking boots...
yeah......both of them !!!
She can carry a fair load!
She even helps you pull
each lace to open them.
Happy Wednesday!
stuff & scraps
I was chatting to so some of my
work mates about card making,
and told them the wee ribbon bow
on the cotton bunny card I was showing
them had been cut from the ribbon
you find hanging inside tops.
It was the perfect colour
and I usually cut them off
as they just annoy me.
Both ladies said they cut them off
and bin them, proceeded to chop off the
ribbon from inside their tops and
hand it to me!
I made some wee cardss
and used their ribbons on them.
I have made one for each of them.
The backing papers are I think, papermania.
The other lady who was there has been
taking me in all her odd buttons,
so I made her a pair of earrings.
~~~~~T~~~~~

I had Bella at the vets for her monthly
vet nurse check.
Our vets do this free of charge for their
first year so they get used to going,
being handled and they can make sure
they are growing fine and dandy.

Bella is sure growing !!
She is still Poppy-dogs baby though!

They spend almost all their time together.

Hope you are all well.

Butterflies and soggy doggies.

Two makes today.
First one is an altered tin,
that always reminds me of
my lovely Blogger Buddy Amanda.
Who made one of these last year for me.

I am entering it in the
Penny Black Challenge
who want lots of dots....

The last time I made one of these
I added a large bloom on the lid.
But I wanted to keep it simple
and use this SU sentiment.
The butterfly was sent to me
by another bloggy buddy Sammi.

This acetate card is for someone special...
my Mum!

It has some pearls on it,
my Mum's Birthstones,
so fits One Stop Challenge,
looking for Birthstones.
Passion for promarkers want Mythology or Fantasy.
A spoonful of sugar want cute & girlie

Secret Crafter's Sat Challenge want no patterned papers.

The wee bow behind the cutie's
head is attached to a bow
with a sticker that says Happy Birthday,
which....I put on the wrong way round...
This means I can enter it
into Allsorts challenge of tags this week.
Colour Create want Light Aqua and soft green.

Anyone for Anya want Don't be square
so its a rectangle.....

So I think that is everyone.....

Now for some Doggies....
It has been a bit of a Bella-Boo blog
But I can't seem to get any new photos
of Poppy with Bella being too far behind...

Unless you leave the garden hose
unattended.....something Poppy is not
daft enough to to take on !!!

But Bella-Boo is....
and she lost.....

Poor soggy doggy....

Hope you are all well
lots of love

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day !

A few Mothers Day cards
to show you today.
so lots of photos in this post.

This was an experiment.
I saw a similar kind of card in
one of my local craft shops
and wanted to give it a wee go.

The card is pink and brown
with butterfly from Crafty Pad stamped
in brown stayzon on card and acetate.

The swirlies are from a roller stamp from
SU again using stayzon which I must say
I ended up wearing more than the card did!.

For my Mother in Law.
The layered up poppy is
in pink card too.
I have just noticed I forgot to
apply the mother day day tab
to the front of the card.
Best go do that in a sec!

The handmade by you stamp was
again the one made just for my
by my lovely friend
Sammi!

This one is for my Sister from my Niece
who has been staying with me for
ten wonderful weeks while on
placement at a local health centre.
We take her back to Uni today.

The butterfly is SU
have no idea who the papers are by.

Going to miss my niece
has been lovely having her here.

Much love to everyone today.

For those celebrating today as a Mother
