Crafty Pad # 19 Gatefold Card & Blog Candy

This week over at Crafty Pad
we would like you to make a Gate fold card -
any embellis can be added that you wish to use. :)

After making a gate fold card at card class
I am loving making these cards just now!

This Challenge is open to everyone.
If you enter without using a Crafty Pad stamp
your name will go into the Draw once ~
Nut if you do use a Crafty Pad Stamp
your name will go in twice!

We would also like to know what your
Favourite Crafty Pad stamp is...

Well I love Two of the stamps
so much that I couldn't decide between them !!!

And I love Crafty Pad Stamps
So I have made two!

The first one is using My fave Belinda Cupcake
I used ribbons from Crafty Ribbons.
I cuttle bugged the chocolate card stock.
Then buffed it with a file.

Belinda is coloured using promarkers
and glitter on the cupcake
and on a few bits on Belinda.

I used pink flower eyelets and
four different bits of ribbons to tie the card.
I have added a wee bubble sticker in lime green.

The flowers are Bo Bunny.
With a button Brad from Poppicrafts.

Inside I have included a pull out recipe tag
for Vanilla Cup Cakes!
The ribbons in here are all Crafty Ribbons
left over from my Cupcake Challenge.

The second card is my all time Fave Butterfly!
Because as a DT I get all the images as downloads
I can use them in any size I want them !
So this is perfect for doing this card.
You get FOUR butterfly stamps you can layer up
( not tried that yet)
You also get the wee flourish
The scroll border and
a lovely verse!
The sheet of stamps is A5

If you pop on over here..........
you could be in with a chance of wining this set
of butterflies as blog candy!!!!

First of all I stamped with See D flower stamp
in versa mark, then used shimmery chalks
to add colour adding a pearl in the centre.

A smaller flower stamp was used with pink
ink then coloured in sukura pen.
A touch too pink but its ok.

I cut the butterfly in half and used silicon
to glue it on to the gate card.
It was coloured with promarkers and chalks.

Inside is the Butterfly verse that comes with the stamp set.
This is stamped onto pink shimmery card.
The daisy border is part of a two stamp set for 90P!!!

I have used shimmery sukura on the wing tips
and the wee dots. I added gems to the small flowers.

I used sukura soufflé pens on the daisy border.

How sweet is that poem?

I have been having problems getting good lighting
and am looking into getting a daylight bulb
and photographic cube/tent thingy.

hope you come on over and join us at Crafty Pad!
Check out my lovely DT mates beautiful cards.
Look out for some special going on's there !!

house mouse man.

I am not sure about this card,
it is my male house mouse card.
I have used white core card stock that
I have buffed with a nail file.
I didn't plan to use pink on the cake....
but I think the card is still manly!
The dots and with love is a cuttle bug folder.

Am off to go finish my in laws anniversary card.
Be back soon.

love is...

I decided instead of making Christmas cards for the folk at dog class ,
I would make some calenders using my favorite picture of Poppy and her boy dog Blue .

Over at One stop challenge, Paula is looking for something blue....
Will there is plenty blue on here, I have actuarially picked the worst calender to take a single shot of, the chalk ink was clogging up the stamp....
and I thought I had pulled out all the splodgie ones...
The stamped paw prints look like blobs on this one!

Oh poppys boy dog is also called Blue!!! LOL

So it kinda grew from there......
I need to get a couple more calender tabs to finish two off here.

This is my take on Marskia's challenge at Sketch Saturday.
It will also get a calander tag hung from the bottom of it when I get some more tomorrow.
I have done a wee bot of wire twisting on the buttons.
Love this effect.
Have doen a fair bit of bead work for Yule gifts today, bay can't show them just yet.

Yesterday my friends Shelia & Bruce got married down south.
this card was made using Laura's sketch at 2sketches 4 you.

I am not sure about the two rings on it, but needed something to keep it to the design.
The green is the colour of her bridesmaids dresses.
The lace if actually some I had left over from my wedding dress.....14 years ago!
Sectret Crafter's Saturday Challenge is to use some embossing , heat or dry.
The doves were done using my cuttle bug and are both embossed.

I need to get few more bits done for yule gifts tomorrow and then see where we are on the Yule cards.....
stressed.....no ....NOT YET!!!! LOL

have a good week ! xxx

two baubles and a dove

Another good card class again tonight.
One card as always is a bit more work and one is a simple
But although I like both I think the peace stamp & dove card is my fave.

I still have to glue down the bauble inside but I wanted to add some more to the cream insert with the text on it when I got home.

Added to my ever extending list of things to do.

I love the baubles on this card they are circle that have gone through the cuttle bug embossing folder.
The have colour added by using sukra glue on the embossed edges which you leave to dry and then rub with green foils, a bit of wire work for them and they are done.

This is such a beautiful stamp we versa marked and heat embossed.
so pretty and the gold ribbon is just beautiful on it.
I am entering it on This Thursday its all about Challenge.

I really enjoy the classes at Sally's shop.
We always have a right giggle and some of the girls are in their third year of classes so must be good!
It is easy going and I have enjoyed getting to know the girls there.

show two......... hide one.

Well as I suspected Poppy -dog was non guard duty last night
and neither of us got much sleep....
She then woke for her breakie as usual at 7am....
Andrew came home at 8am .....

*yawn*

Anyway, I made three cards today.

Two are being shown and one is not yet out and about as it will be used for something later on!

This one is using a sketch I used before from Sketch Saturday that I liked.

I think it was in September this was used in a challenge....

Anyway the second card is Kim's Sketch on Simply Fairies.

Hope she likes my take on her sketch.

The photo is rubbish, but behind the black layer is vellum that
I have put through the cuttlebug and I love the result you get from that!

Hope you are having a great Sunday and had a lovely weekend.

much love xxxx

posted with love & hugs

Finally got these two gifts posted off to Jane & Debbie,
now they have received them I can post piccies here.

The selection of hearts and backing squares are for Jane.
Spent the afternoon at Emma's the other day and cuttlebuged away till I got a wee pile of them.
If you want any more Jane , just let me know.

I decided to make a wee box to post them in, and the box was easy enough,

But the lid was a bloody nightmare!!! It took three attempts!

The box went well with the card I made the other week, so I posted that too.

Then I used the cuttle bug to emboss Christmas Tree's for the lovely Debbie.

Have you seen the wonderful digi downloads she draws?
Go have a look....

Anyway back to the embossed tree's
I did a selection on various different types of white card,
and had a play with black pearl card and green velum.

Then went to put them in the wallet card I had made to post them in.....

But I didn't take into acount the fact that once they are embossed they are twice as thick!!!

DUH!!!!! so here is wallet card mark two!

Got them posted eventually!!!

Enjoy girls xx

new things and chocolate cake!

I have had a lovely weekend.
Spent last week with Hubby as Pops recovered,
been saving my pennies and got a few nice new things in shopping trips this weekend.....
I am a very lucky lassie!
I love this fairy stamp, and Emma kindly gave me some stamped images of her,
but I saw her in Sally's shop and just had to take her home with me!
I love her to bits!
She lives pride of place on my new stand to use to photograph cards...
I KNOW ITS SAD!!!!
Don't judge me! we all have weird habits!

My little dragon fly was bough in a fair traid shop while in Aberdeen.
You don't see how pretty she is here, but she is lovely!

this huge spoon with a hook on the back and flat base for scraping is a jam spoon!
So are you getting the feeling I have strange ideas about goodies?
My hubby makes the nicest jams I have ever tasted.
And his parents are coming to see us next Sunday, after stopping off at fruit shop and taking us request berries, so we will be making jam baby!

Talking of what my hubby makes....check this out!!!!

This was to help cheer Emma up.... I would share it with you....

But Emma ate it all!
Only joking!
You don't want to believe half the things you read about her!!! Honestly You don't
Unless I write them!

Love you Emma babes!

And my last goodie....well my lovely lovely Hubby bought me a cuttle bug for my birthday,
well its for that, and Christmas, and easter, and thanksgiving and any other holiday that I think requires a gift for months to come!
I spent the afternoon playing with it at Emma's having a shottie of her many die's and embossing folders!
All in all a good few days!
