Naughty Fourty!

WOTWW!

This week, its a special WOYWW for me.....
I turned Naughty 40 today!

This is a sneaky peak of something I am pottering away with.

More of that when it is finished.
I think I might need to re-do the image,
I am not too happy with her colouring yet.

I have taken this week off work,
and was surprised, by this wonderful
red velvet cake from my work mates,
along with a beautiful card and
gift voucher for a comp therapy place!
Bliss!!

Just as the boss announced that we were not allowed
to light the candles, the fire alarm went off and
we all waited eagerly for firemen to appear!
Seems one of the ward had set the alarm off
by making toast.....AGAIN!
But no firemen for us!

So that was last week's cake....LOL.

This is today cake!
My Hubby made this for me,
using a new cook book from friend Anita,
who made the red velvet cake above!
How clever is he!?!

I got a wonderful surprise when I opened
this package from Kath & Buddy!
Not only was there a beautiful birthday card,
but there was an amazing altered box!

Yule Baubles.

I just adored this Xmas card
we made at Kate's card class the other week.
The stamping up punch and stamps
are really classy, and the colour
combo is one I love for Xmas.

Now I am not a fan of Xmas,
for many reasons.
It tends to be a huge stress factor for me.
You would think the fact I have not made
hardly any cards by this late date
would be stressfull....
But I am not worring about it
at all this year.

Anyway, I spent the afternoon,
stamping & punching.
I tried out various different inks
and a few types of card.

My fave ink turned out to be my new
distressing Xmas inks.

This was my Wednesday workdesk today.

So......taking inspiration from this pretty
backing paper I have been hording for some time,
I went with an unusual colour combo.

I really liked this, and have someone
special in mind for it already.

This one also has a new home in mind.
I tired to keep it simple and clean,
but am not sure it is not missing something.

Last one, and it may end up in the bin.
I can not decided if I like
it or it looks messy.......

The white snowflakes are embossed,
the ink is the same xmas distressing inks.

What's on Your workdesk Wednesday?

I love Wednesdays....
I don't work on a Wednesday,
and try to make it a day
that I spend with a friend,
or craft,
and just please myself......

I don't always manage it.

But I did today.
I made 5 wee
stampin up Owl tags.

I can only give you a wee sneaky peek
as they are attached to my fave
brown bags with goodies in,
to give to Friends as gifts.

And since they have not received
their gifts yet.......


Talking of nice surprises.
Hubby won a 4.5 litre bottle
of whisky in a local competition,
and collected same dram on
his birthday.....so he was well pleased.

so you can see how huge it is!

Been a busy few days here....
Managed to get my button challenge
done for Crafty Ribbons.
I will show them to you when the
glue is all dried!

The earrings are naked, but threading them
meant they didnt stick to the earring posts.

Right over to WOYWW.....

My Mum asked me to make
her a card for her neighbour who is
moving away.
I noticed after taking the photo
that one of the poor wee birdie's eye
has slipped!
I will get that fixed
before giving it to my Mum!

I have used this idea before,
but I love it for a new home card,
and I love my MS birdie punch.

This one is for my Dad's birthday.
My first attempt at a
double twisted easel card.

My time to craft are looking
for makes with Perfect pets on it...

Talking about my beautiful babies....
Bella as you know was spayed last week,
and she was really feeling sorry for
herself and whimpered and howled
the first night, so I took the mattress
off one of the spare beds and slept
downstairs with her....
Only when Andrew went to go upstairs
with Poppy to stop her cleaning
Bella's stitches.....she started howling
even worse!!!

So.....and you will only understand
if you are owned by a dog yourself....
We both ended up sleeping downstairs,
on mattress's.....

Much to Poppy's delight!!!



Bella is now feeling all better,
just a struggle to stop her jumping
and running around like the crazy
girl she is......

This is her keeping guard on mini scotch eggs
we made with quail's eggs our local farm sells!

What's on my Workdesk Wednesday

I don't always get round to joining in at
WOMWW.
But I do love a good wander round
to see what other folk are up to when I do join in.

So here is a little something
I have been working on for weeks.

Done very little to it.....

But am thinking this week it should be
titled WHO is at my workdesk ....

The Blonde Bombshell Bella has
taken to sitting at my chair,
so I need to leave it pushed up against
the unit to leave it steady for her.
Yes.....she is spoilt!

She loved crafting time with Poppy-dog......
here's one we made earlier.

You take the inside of the kitchen roll,
you can find one in the recycling bin....
Chew....rip and make into paper mache....

And use it to decorate your mum's bed....
No glue needed it stick to almost anything!

My Pretty girls!

Not much crafting here,
I haven't been well this week.
Bella won't be doing much crafting either,
she goes to see the Doggy Doctor to be spayed
tomorrow, but she doesn't know that yet.
