Friday happiness

Good day today, don't need to go back to physio for three weeks.
Elbow is improving so thats making life easier all round.

Had another go at two sketches that I liked the look of ,
but again just couldn't get into them.
So have gone for simple makes , but am happy with same.

I love this backing paper, I only have a few small bits left,
perfect for ATC or tag here.
I am entering it in the Tag you're it #33 this week green & red.

The wee Angels are Lulu & AJ dinkie dots stamped onto
shrink plastic shrink and coloured with promarkers.

The beautiful peace stamp is done with olive green powder and heat embossed.
I would like to find a dove stamp that fits in space, I have two but one is too big and one it too small. I even tried stamping big dove on shrink plastic but it was way too small when shrunk.

I know I have shown similar cards here but i do love these little robin peel offs.

Perfect for using up my small scraps of backing paper as they are small pre-cut cards.

Andrew is working a 12 hour day shift tomorrow, so apart from making a huge pan of Bolognese to freeze, I am planning a hoover, a quick dust , some crafting and then dinner here with a mate.

Them's the plans anyway!!!

quick card and gave up in the end card!

ABC challenge is Q for quick cards.
You can take as long as you want colouring your image abut only twenty minuets to put it all together.

I sat one evening colouring in these wee robin peel offs and have similar candle peel offs.

I will use this idea for using up scraps of backing papers & bits of matting card.
I also have a pack of smaller square cards that are a bit small for doing too much on.

This will get me a real boost on catching up with the cards I still have to make.

I have tried for most of the evening to do the sketch on Just Christmas & Birthday Cards but with noooooooooooooo luck.
It is a beautiful sketch and I love the idea of making two cards at the same time using the same sketch.

Go have a try of this sketch and see how you do.

So this was the base of the sketch for the Xmas card and the image I was going to do.
But all I was getting was frustrated!
I love these Sugar Nellie Soft Centres. They are such a beautiful set of stamps.

* yawn *

Got a few cards made yesterday but didn't get them posted on bloggy.
Need to get this one in the post this afternoon ,
after I have been to see the vampires for my weekly blood test.

The ribbon is a beautiful cream colour and I got it at Sally's shop in Elgin when we were at card class.
In fact I went back for a second bit as I think it might join the pile of lovely ribbon I can't bear to use!! LOL

This one is my take on Kazan's sketch in 2 sketches for you challenge.
Both backing papers are from Sally's shop and I have no idea who makes them, but the creamy centre one with the swirlies on it is so pretty!

I also want to enter it for Cute Card Thursday who are looking for green and red this week.

The last card is for an amazing young man who is turning 18 this week.
Craig has a rare Epilepsy syndrome called Dravet that makes his life difficult
and he relys on his family for all his care.
He is such a sweet lad and when he smiles your heart just melts.

Here he is with his best mate his dog Cassie , who lets everyone know when Craig is having a siezure, she then lays beside him while he recovers, licking his hand to reasure him, is his protector and playmate......

and they love nothing better than sitting at the table watching postman pat and eating wotsits!!
She sits upbeside him not touching anything on the table ,
watching him do his puzzles, and watching out the window to keep an eye on everything!

She is the doggy who is on the wee video last week playing with Poppy dog.

For a dog who is only 1 1/2 years old she is so gentle and loyal to this young man!

I don't do well with little sleep just now,
and I must admit I am doing better with less than I was needing before...

But can someone tell Poppy-dog that I need it all together not in broken bits and bobs!!!

Andrew was on night shift last night,
Poppy-dog and I went to dog class and she was shattered,
she worked hard and also played hard with her new boyfriend .....a handsome collie called Blue!

In fact we had to separate them at one point as they were not listening to what we were telling them to do, but lying on the floor , poppy's paw round Blue's neck while he nibbled her ear!!!

Anyway...........

She was shattered last night but still on guard dog duty......checked the house several times, jumped up on the bed, had a woof at nothing then came to tell me it was ok!

So she is now fast asleep upstairs with Andrew.....and I am downstairs yawning away!

2nd post, too cold to do much else!

Well the snow is now sleet, its really wet and really cold,
so while I was waiting on spooks coming on the TV I made these three.

This one is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge and is a sketch by the lovely DawnyP

Tomorrow it will be on its way to someone special. Hope they like it.
It is a wee birdie peel off coloured in non Christmas colours. He looks sweet.

It is not as good a take on the sketch as I wanted but it was how it ended up!

The following two are carried on from the same theme as one of the cards we made at class last night. I bought these peel offs months ago and didn't like any of the results I made with them.

They are also using up fabric squares that I bought a few years ago and again never used successfully mainly cause I didn't have glue that stuck it down to my satisfaction.

But since they are on fabric I will enter the robin card on the Arty Girlz Challenge
I like how they both look, and will use up the peel offs for more chrimbo cards.
