friends with ewe!

I am sorry for not being around,
things have been a bit hectic here.

Anyway......
one wee card and then I must
upload all my other photos
and get things sorted.
The challenge over at
Crafty Pad
closes tonight at 8 pm
and I didn't want this card
that I started the other day
only to finish ten minuets ago
to be yet another challenge
card that past the deadline!

They wanted buttons,
so I used wee buttons to cover
the wee sheepies fleece.
It is a crafty pad stamp
called Shelly Sheep & Twitter.

pixie dust want you to go green
and although the photo is rubbish
the backing papers
are actully a pretty mint green.
Scrapbook sisters want spring flowers.
Creative card crew also want green on
the cards this week.

Hope you are all grand,
and thank you for the emails
asking if I was ok.
many hugs

cuddles and cuteness

I am having a great week at home,
to those people who say that
if they won the lottery they would still work....

I say....
NOT ME!!!!
I could easily amuse myself !

I made this card a wee while ago
but it only turned up at the person's house
yesterday so can only post it here now!

An alternative anniversary card.

I have the poem on the computer upstairs
it is all about how love is weird! LOL.

I am entering it in Scrapbook sisters Challenge
who want your make to go over the edge.
Thank you to Julie for suggesting same.

~~~~~T~~~~~
This is a card I made today,
for a cousin who I lost touch with 22 years ago
and found again online thanks to
facebook!!!
I am entering it in A spoonful of sugar
who say anything goes.
Oldie but a goodie, who need the image
to be more than 6 months old and
want pink & girlie.
~~~~~T~~~~~

This card was for my hubby's birthday.
I love the sentiment, even though
these older Magnolia's have no mouths!
What is it about stamps that have no mouths?

I am entering it in the first challenge over
at Ribbon girl's blog
who want orange, black & white.
and Creative Inspirations
who want two or more images.

~~~~~T~~~~~
This is for a fellow witchy mate!
LOL
I found it when looking
for the above Magnolia stamps,
and although I am early for Halloween
I love this stamp!
My time to craft want kids on the card
and this young lass is trick or treating.
Allsorts who want you to use 3 or more punches
well I have used three different punches
for my leaves.
I love this time of year, the pretty colours
as the leaves change is just stunning.
~~~~~T~~~~~

My fave pixie dust digital download!
*My Edward*
sigh....

The card I entered over there won
their challenge last week!
Wooo hoooo!

~~~~~T~~~~~
This card was for my Hubby
for our Wedding Anniversary
which is tomorrow!!!
It is my take on the sketch at Cute card Thursday,
Papertake weekly want animals
and Crafty Pad who want embossing.
The wee sheep & bird is a crafty pad stamp.
~~~~~T~~~~~

Poppy has not been replaced,
Bella has taken to snuggling up with
a huge toy dog called Dudley.

He doesn't seem to mind the smell of wet dog!

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day !

A few Mothers Day cards
to show you today.
so lots of photos in this post.

This was an experiment.
I saw a similar kind of card in
one of my local craft shops
and wanted to give it a wee go.

The card is pink and brown
with butterfly from Crafty Pad stamped
in brown stayzon on card and acetate.

The swirlies are from a roller stamp from
SU again using stayzon which I must say
I ended up wearing more than the card did!.

For my Mother in Law.
The layered up poppy is
in pink card too.
I have just noticed I forgot to
apply the mother day day tab
to the front of the card.
Best go do that in a sec!

The handmade by you stamp was
again the one made just for my
by my lovely friend
Sammi!

This one is for my Sister from my Niece
who has been staying with me for
ten wonderful weeks while on
placement at a local health centre.
We take her back to Uni today.

The butterfly is SU
have no idea who the papers are by.

Going to miss my niece
has been lovely having her here.

Much love to everyone today.

For those celebrating today as a Mother
Enjoy the gift of your child no matter their age.

For those who are grieving as a mother,
my thoughts are with you everyday of the year.

For those who are grieving as a child
my heart aches for your loss.

For those who child is far away
I wish them a safe & speedy return.

For those of us who wish to be a mother
but have not yet been blessed...

I truly understand your emptiness.

Black & Red

Edit* I have only just realised how similar
this card is to one I saw on Curts page.
I loved how bold the black and white was.
Thank you for the inspiration Curt.

I loved this butterfly stamp!
it is one of a set from Crafty Pad.

I really enjoyed being a DT member last year
and the butterfly is one a few stamps
I the most on a regular basis.

I decided when making this card
for a girl friend that I would see what the
challenge was this week over at CP.
I haven't done any challenges
for a long while
It is charms....so i made a wee heart charm
into a wee key ring and added it on.
I wanted the person it is for to be able to
use the charm afterwards without
damaging the card by taking it off.
The white stamping is done on acetate
with white stayzon.

This next card is for a friend.

It is never easy making sympathy cards.
But I know that if someone
took time to make me one,
it would help me feel better.....

The poppy is papaermania stamped
onto red card and layered up with a brad.

I don't normal do stamping on the inside
but i have both remembrance stamp sets
and I love this little sweet stamp.

I am almost done with my acetate
card phase I think! LOL.

It is just a pain waiting for the ink to dry
and I am not always able to resist
temptation in touching it to check....

hence the smudges on it!

I used the bigger dog paw print on the back
and wee ones on the front....

I love these stamps.
Can't remember who makes them...

and last but not least....
after a two hour trek around the woods,

you end up with this...........

My Poppy Dog was resting for a short while
but normal service was resumed
rather quickly after this was taken!

have a great weekend
hugs and love

Race for life stamp

Debbie over at Crafty Pad has designed this fab stamp
to help support RACE FOR LIFE!

She is called June as some of the race's
will take part during June.

The stamp costs £3 & £1 for each stamp
will be donated to Race for life!
Which is FANTASTIC!

The banner is blank and the Race for life text
is separate so you could use this for a
Good Luck or Happy Birthday card.

She will be available as a pre order from
Monday 18th May
& shall be dispatched on the 25th May.

What a fab idea,
helping raise money for Cancer research
and crafting all at the same time!

Crafty Pad # 23 sketch.

Sunday again so soon.....
that means its Crafty Pad time!

This week we have a nice easy sketch:)
You may twist and turn it and add other embellis too if you wish. :)

Any entries using a Crafty Pad stamp will
have their name entered into the draw TWICE.:)

Any entries NOT USING a Crafty Pad stamp
will have their name entered into the draw ONCE. :)

The winner will get to choose a single stamp from The Crafty Pad. :) :)

June Doing the Race for Life stamp is exempt from the prize.

Us Dt girls have chosen Belinda this week.
I have turned the sketch around so
I could pop a wee tag in with a hidden message.

The papers are papermania and I used my
much neglected whisper pens this time.

The flower is punched from scraps
and the daisy border is also a crafty pad stamp.

Some changes on the DT team,
sadly saying goodbye to Dawn who
has done amazing DT pieces
and hello to Maxine.

much love tina xxx

Crafty Pad # 22 ~ Shine

Its Crafty Pad time again!

This week we are looking for you to

shine!

As in sunshine, shiny cards, metallic or glitter

You may use any stamp,
any embellishments/ribbons/brads etc. :)

If you use a Crafty Pad stamp your
name will be entered twice for the prize.:) :)

If you DO NOT use a Crafty Pad stamp
then your name will be entered once for the prize. :)

The prize is any single Crafty Pad you would like.

So this week all the Crafty Pad team
are all using the Butterfly set.

I have made a sun catcher.
Not the easiest thing to try to photograph though!

I started with felt flowers,
added orange sequins on both sides
to each petal & an orange button to the centre

Beads were knotted on along the fishing line,
I really must ask my dad, how to tie better knots
on fishing line so they look neater!

Using stayzon to stamp the large butterfly
onto acetate and coloured using glass markers.
I used stickels and liquid pearls

It ended up with a nice crackly effect against the sun

I hung a butterfly charm at the bottom
this helps add weight to the sun catcher
and helps it hang straighter.

I hope you come on over & see
what the lovely DT girls have made,
including Pascale who joins us as our guest DT.

Fancy joining in with us this week?
Have you seen Crafty Pad has a sale on too?

I love this butterfly set!
I have never attempted decorating candles like this!
And how pretty is the butterfly against the pale candle?

This is just gorgous!
Thank you my lovely!

crafty pad # 21 All in the Shape!

This week at Crafty Pad

It's all in the 'Shape'..
and the shape we would like you to make your card
in is an Octagon. :)
You may use any stamp,
any embellishments/ribbons/brads etc. :)

If you use a Crafty Pad stamp your
name will be entered twice for the prize.:) :)

If you DO NOT use a Crafty Pad stamp
then your name will be entered once for the prize. :)

The prize this week is any single
crafty pad stamp of your choice. :) :)

Here is a simple octagon shape should you need it. :)

So here is my Faith in an Octagon.
I used some chalk inks then
burnished the background.
Stamped my fave flower from SeeD
all over with a darker chalk ink.
I used my crop o dile to make holes for ribbon.
Faith on the Cushion is coloured
using distressed inks.

Debbie had asked us to do this shaped card.
and I thought I like that shape...
lets make a smaller one
and add on my Fave Butterfly stamps...
OH you know they are my fave!!!

I gave this to Amanda on Saturday
on strict instructions not to
blog it till after Sunday!!!!

Again I used chalk inks and burnished it.
Used Crop o dile to make three holes.
I used curling ribbon as I wanted the curls
but wanted them to me quiet stiff too.
The wee green tag is sizzex die,
stamped with See D friendship poem.
It lifts out from behind the butterfly.
I used three different sizes of the
Butterfly stamps on the pages.

The last inside page is stamped with the
Butterfly verse from the stamp set.

I added some flowers punched out,
layered adding gems to the centres.
Finished it off with some peel off letters.

Remember!

Crafty pad # 20 ~ holes!!!

The challenge this week is -
Let's see a few 'Holes' in your card.
:) You can punch holes, use eyelets, pierce holes -
create them which ever way you please. :)

If you use a Crafty Pad stamp then your name
is entered twice into the draw.
If you DO NOT use a Crafty Pad stamp
then your name will be entered once into the draw.

The prize is - your choice of any Crafty Pad single stamp. :) :)

Now we have a very lovely talented
Guest DT for the next couple of weeks. :)
So let me please welcome and introduce Maxine. :) :)

I have used Belinda in this weeks make.
And have made one big hole in
the centre of a cover CD.
I used my crop o dile to munch all the way
round a bit like a donnut
in this cupcake feast!

Red gems are cherry tops for some cakes.
Pink sukura for the hearts
on the paper background.

The centre of the CD became the top circle.
And my Happy Birthday stamps
were not quiet circular enough
but I am happy enough with that.

There is a black gem in the flower
and the brown ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons,
Oh and there is a sale on at Crafty Pad Stamps
starting today!
P&P is free!!!

Saturday, 2 May 2009

sent in post.

Have made a few bits & bobs to post
to pals this last wee while...
but forgot to take pictures of them.
So now they have arrived safe & sound
a few of the people who received them have
kindly taken pictures and emailed them to me!

This went to Debbie
my lovely Crafty Pad creator!

It is following an idea from my lovely
Blogger pal Amanda
who decorated a coffee mate tube for me.
This was an after eights stick tube.
I covered it with some pale green paper.
Covered all the edges with a darker green ribbon.
Added Bo Bunny and some dyed paper
flowers with green or blue gems.
The butterfly is one of Debbies own
butterfly stamps that I love.
They are also available as blog candy.
There is also a sale on at Crafty Pad tomorrow too!

The verse is from the butterfly set too.
I filled it with goodies including
some yummy Aloe Vera hand lotion
from Arran Aromatics.
Who make my all time fave bath goodies
called "after the rain"

I do love tubes of goodies! xxx

Crafty Pad # 19 Gatefold Card & Blog Candy

This week over at Crafty Pad
we would like you to make a Gate fold card -
any embellis can be added that you wish to use. :)

After making a gate fold card at card class
I am loving making these cards just now!

This Challenge is open to everyone.
If you enter without using a Crafty Pad stamp
your name will go into the Draw once ~
Nut if you do use a Crafty Pad Stamp
your name will go in twice!

We would also like to know what your
Favourite Crafty Pad stamp is...

Well I love Two of the stamps
so much that I couldn't decide between them !!!

And I love Crafty Pad Stamps
So I have made two!

The first one is using My fave Belinda Cupcake
I used ribbons from Crafty Ribbons.
I cuttle bugged the chocolate card stock.
Then buffed it with a file.

Belinda is coloured using promarkers
and glitter on the cupcake
and on a few bits on Belinda.

I used pink flower eyelets and
four different bits of ribbons to tie the card.
I have added a wee bubble sticker in lime green.

The flowers are Bo Bunny.
With a button Brad from Poppicrafts.

Inside I have included a pull out recipe tag
for Vanilla Cup Cakes!
The ribbons in here are all Crafty Ribbons
left over from my Cupcake Challenge.

The second card is my all time Fave Butterfly!
Because as a DT I get all the images as downloads
I can use them in any size I want them !
So this is perfect for doing this card.
You get FOUR butterfly stamps you can layer up
( not tried that yet)
You also get the wee flourish
The scroll border and
a lovely verse!
The sheet of stamps is A5

If you pop on over here..........
you could be in with a chance of wining this set
of butterflies as blog candy!!!!

First of all I stamped with See D flower stamp
in versa mark, then used shimmery chalks
to add colour adding a pearl in the centre.

A smaller flower stamp was used with pink
ink then coloured in sukura pen.
A touch too pink but its ok.

I cut the butterfly in half and used silicon
to glue it on to the gate card.
It was coloured with promarkers and chalks.

Inside is the Butterfly verse that comes with the stamp set.
This is stamped onto pink shimmery card.
The daisy border is part of a two stamp set for 90P!!!

I have used shimmery sukura on the wing tips
and the wee dots. I added gems to the small flowers.

I used sukura soufflé pens on the daisy border.

How sweet is that poem?

I have been having problems getting good lighting
and am looking into getting a daylight bulb
and photographic cube/tent thingy.

hope you come on over and join us at Crafty Pad!
Check out my lovely DT mates beautiful cards.
Look out for some special going on's there !!

love tina x x x
