bit of this and that!

Hello, hello!
I trust this finds you all happy & well.

Three cards and three doggy photo's to share
with you before I go wondering to
catch up with you all.

A card for a lady at work with a special birthday.
This was bigger than normal for me, an 8 x 8 inch
since it was everyone in the dept to sign.

The butterfly die drove me nuts! I am not sure
if it is a duff die or what, but it protests at even
cutting through vellum!!!
It is my entry in the
~ Papertake weekly challenge ,
who want die cuts,
and my first entry in Flutter by Wednesdays
who want a butterfly on the card.

This one was sent with my cheque to Debbi
with my payment to the next Girls just wanna have fun day!

I loved the last one, and can't wait till October!

I am nae happy with the ribbon flower
at the top of the card, the button
is too wee and it just looks a bit faffy! lol.

The last card, I really like.
But the photo is awful!
I took it at the last moment before
I left for work, and it shows!

I have also just noticed that the wee
owl charm is facing the wrong way!

I am enetering this card in the Creative Inspiration challenge
who want text, but not a sentiment on a card!

So..... time for a doggy photo update!
Miss Poppy-dog has taken to claiming the foot
stool under the window.....
mainly to stop Bella getting up on it!

Which Miss Bella-Boo is not best pleased with!

But they still love each other....
Most of the time!

book, button hole, bling & babies

I am sorry for all the pictures,
but I seem to be a better blogger
if I blog every few days,
so that means a few cards at once.

Thank you for all my get well wishes,
I am almost there.
The tail end of a summer cold seems to linger...

You know I was talking to some
of the girls at work about the ribbons
that you get inside tops....

well I am now receiving bags of ribbons
in the internal mail at work!
and at tea time,
and when staff come into the department!
It is very sweet of everyone!

If i was to show whats on my work space today...
it would be these....

I made this card for one lady who
gave me heaps of ribbons.
The wee bloom is a brooch
that comes off so you can wear it!
It is made with two bits of ribbon she
gave me this week.

I am entering it in My time to craft
who want a butterfly on the card.

This ribbon is also from the above stash!

The big text stamp is penny black,
the sentiment is hobby art.
and the lassie is greeting farm,
which means I can enter the card
on Anyone for Anya ,
who want the colour combo
pink, black and white.
I have decoupaged the brolly,
which is not normally something
I do, but I liked it.

The blue ribbon is from above collection.
The green and silver is craft ribbons.
I am entering this in Color Throwdown
but I am not happy about how dark the green
and taupe colour turned out.

I found this a real challenge to colour,
after deciding to make it the one for
one stop craft challenge
who want monochromatic.

This one is for a few other challenges too.
Creative Inspiration want sport related cards.
The boy is from Di's digital downloads.

Passion for promarkers want animals.
well there is a cute wee doggy there.

This card I am not keen on at all.
It was an order for a lady at work,
for her elderly MIL to give to a friend who
was retiring from teaching.

And lastly......
Cause if I put the photos
of my two furry babies at the top
of the post, no one reads below it !

My hubby was on night shift last night,
he came upstairs with both girls
to speak to me in the spare room....
and a short while later I
found all three fast asleep!!

But this is how they nomally sleep!

Flowers for you x

A few makes to share from
yesterday and today.

Lots of flowers again.
This one is for a Doctor at
my hospital who is Dutch
and turns 60 this week.
I believe the phrase says
"Happy Birthday" And is meant
for an older person.

I checked it on 5 different sites
so really hope it is right!

This card is a Thank you
for some one really special
who has been a huge support to me.

I made the Roses from punched
out flowers that you cut and layer up.
The daisies are punched vellum.

The papers are Bo Bunny.

I am entering it in My Time to Craft
who want extra special.
Creative Card Crew want a Thank you Card.
A spoonful of sugar want floral delight.

Third card is for papertake weekly
its a sketch challenge.
Again colours not showing as
well in this photo.
The backing papers are shimmery pinks
blue and a touch of brown.


I think I should have stuck the GG
a little higher up, she is sliding
off my ribbon!
The blue one is from Friday Freebies
I won in Crafty Ribbons last week.

The last one is just something I
was playing with today.

One Stop Craft Challenge
want make you own DP.
I used SU moss green ink
on the card with See D stamp.
The same stamp with white Stayzon
made the blooms with buttons.
The ribbon was also from Crafty Ribbons.

Lastly....my furry babies!
Bella is getting so big, so fast!

She is in a dog create for short spells
when we are out, we are extending time spells
of leaving her in the kitchen out with
her create with Poppy who is used to free
run of the house.
We leave the create door open and
Bella often goes for a sleep in it.

Poppy has started going in there
to sleep now too......
despite having her own bed!

too much to do.

I have done few things today,
to be honest I had so many
things that needed doing,
I wish I had more time to spend
on all the things I made.
Just how it is I guess eh...
Anyway.
First up.
This is for the Sugar Nellie Sketch.
and also Colour Create ~ baby pink & pastel blue.

These four note cards are for part of my
sister's birthday pressie.

This is for a friend at work....

I am entering it in
Allsorts Strawberries & Cream.
This drove me nuts! LOL.
I coloured the image in three times.
Luckily I had four copies of it
that I got in an image swap.


This is for a work mate
who's DIL has just had
a second daughter.
Matilda now has a wee sister
called Lydia.

This was something for my living room!
I love this picture so much.
It looks like the base paper is
really squint but it is not in real life.
Apologies for bad photo's
it is awful here today.

The above piece is A4 size and in a frame.
This wee one is a Thank you card
and much smaller.

new net book and keep
making spelling mistakes

Black, Gold, Red and Rant....

Hello all....
I made this car "on Board" thingy
for my best mate who has a diva attitude...
and we are always joking it is all about her...

I took this picture before I laminated
and punch a hole it in for a sucker to apply
it to her car window.

We are always asking each other questions
and answering with "Google it!"
But she never remembers
what it was she was going to look up
when she gets home.
SO..... I decorated this wee notebook for her.

Now to the Black and Gold part of the post....

Here is the new Baby in the houseMiss Bella -Boo.
Now 9 weeks old....

Here she is lying with her bestst Friend
Miss Poppy-dog. who will be 3 in June.
They both lie like frogs, and spend most of
their time lying beside each other.

Holding paws.....

Now for my rant......feel free to ignore me here!
I have a friend on face book called Sarah,
who has a daughter called Sophie who is aged 9.

Sophie has a life limiting muscle wasting illness.
Now Sarah has asked on face book if people want
to donate items for a sale of work,
like hand made cards
and stuff for them to fund raise for equipment
to make Sophie's life easier.

I have cleared out a few cards to send,
including challenge cards I never used.
We all have a fair few of them around , don't we....

And I noticed some woman.....
has left a comment on her page
saying this..........

"I work for the biggest UK Company selling greeting cards,
so I do not take kindly to people making their own cards."

I would love to make her a card saying......
"Shop bought cards suck and so do you!"

But I don't think she would approve....
since it was hand made.....Anyway.......
