three ladies

I never did get pictures on here
from the four days
of Girls Just Want To Have Fun.

But two of the "ladies" below were from
the third and fourth days I think.

The one on the square box with
the three bobbins with pink, green & blue
thread was made with the kit I bought on the day.

I have so many half finished projects in my room,
I am trying my best to get some of them finished.

Thank you to everyone who asked
how Miss Bella Boo was after
she hurt her paw.

As you can see she is all better,
and back to being as cheeky as ever!

Here she is, enjoying some luxury treats.

Not sure she is very keen on sharing....

But Poppy will not be one to miss out!

Hope you are grand,
Love Teen xx

To Lisa with Love

Today is my friend
and fellow Twilight obsessive
Lisa's Birthday.
I made this card for her.
The feathers in the background are
from the last book.

The little metal heart on Lisa's name plate
says "made with love."

All good Vampire sparkle with a little sunlight.

So hence his shimmery face.

I send a few gifts in the post including
this wee note book I covered

The ribbon is more of a lilac
and matches in with the co-ordinating
papers on the back of the book.

Happy Birthday Lisa!!!

Black & Red

Edit* I have only just realised how similar
this card is to one I saw on Curts page.
I loved how bold the black and white was.
Thank you for the inspiration Curt.

I loved this butterfly stamp!
it is one of a set from Crafty Pad.

I really enjoyed being a DT member last year
and the butterfly is one a few stamps
I the most on a regular basis.

I decided when making this card
for a girl friend that I would see what the
challenge was this week over at CP.
I haven't done any challenges
for a long while
It is charms....so i made a wee heart charm
into a wee key ring and added it on.
I wanted the person it is for to be able to
use the charm afterwards without
damaging the card by taking it off.
The white stamping is done on acetate
with white stayzon.

This next card is for a friend.

It is never easy making sympathy cards.
But I know that if someone
took time to make me one,
it would help me feel better.....

The poppy is papaermania stamped
onto red card and layered up with a brad.

I don't normal do stamping on the inside
but i have both remembrance stamp sets
and I love this little sweet stamp.

I am almost done with my acetate
card phase I think! LOL.

It is just a pain waiting for the ink to dry
and I am not always able to resist
temptation in touching it to check....

hence the smudges on it!

I used the bigger dog paw print on the back
and wee ones on the front....

I love these stamps.
Can't remember who makes them...

and last but not least....
after a two hour trek around the woods,

you end up with this...........

My Poppy Dog was resting for a short while
but normal service was resumed
rather quickly after this was taken!

have a great weekend
hugs and love

Saturday

Got a few cards done this evening
while DH watched eurovision.....
Don't know why I am admitting to that!

It is a multi challenge card!

For Penny Black its a recipe challenge
Recipe 3..2...1
Three Flowers....2 Papers.....1Charm/Brad

One stop craft challenge are looking for
Pink & Brown on this weeks cards.

Papertake weekly want us to show
some animal antics.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next card started life off as this
But it was on really more squint
than I thought it was,
and I wasn't keen on all green card.
So I chopped it up a bit and
layered it on pink card.
Applied it to white base card
A few gems, and a sentiment.
Am much happier with it now.
I have had fun with new images
coming out from Crafty Muse
and will show you those makes soon.
Have a wee sneaky peek for tomorrow
Crafty Pad Challenge.
Do you know what it is.....?
Crafty Pad # 12 ~ Ted with Flower
Over at Crafty Pad it is already challenge number 12!
and this time is it a recipe challenge.
we are looking for you to use any Faith/Ted/Butterfly from
Crafty Pad Stamp Range.
Now our recipe is to use along with your Crafty Pad Stamp
  • a flower
  • a circle
  • a ribbon
  • a charm
You can add anything else but must include these elements.
As usual there is a yummy wee prize for the lucky winner.
So I have been a bit obsessed with my favourite butterfly stamps
from Crafty pad in the last wee while I thought I will ink up
Ted with a Flower
I have used a circular flower brad ......
do you think I will get away with that....
as I have just realised I have missed out the circle DUH!!!!
( Debbie will be rapping my knuckles with a ruler!
she is such a hard task master!)
flower...yes I have two of them...
Ribbon.....uhh hu I have a bonnie blue one to go with backing card.
And last but not least a bonnie wee heart Charm!!!
He is coloured in with distressing inks....
I must admit after using promarkers almost exclusively
I find the pale result takes a bit of getting used to.
I do like the result but have a tendency to over colour the image.
So there you go.....
No butterflies.....not one......not one at all......
not even a wee one.......
ACH!!!
Who am I trying to kid!!!
I love these butterflies!!!
To be honest , just between you & me...
I made this one first and did get the circle in it!
but I saw wee Ted looking at me and thought....
I better ink that poor wee Ted up and stamp with him!
So here we have it. I have used two Butterflies.
The circle started as pink card, but I used chalk inks taking
the sweet pea colours from the pretty ribbon I wanted to use
and then used tissue to smudge them all together.
Is there a proper name for this effect?
I made a big flower from two punches and a Button.
The butterflies are coloured using whisper pens & glitter.
The backing paper is Basic Gray.
And the wee charm is a butterfly!
I have used a claw clippie thingy to attach it to the card
so it can be removed afterwards & used on keyrings
or as a moblie phone charm.
I have added some wire antennas but did that after the pic was taken.
A lassie at work asked me to make a Mothers day card for her to give
and I was telling her about this one I had made
as she was asking for these sort of colours.
So I took it in to show her, and ended up agreeing to sell it to her.
And getting orders for a few other cards too!!!!
recharge!
Been a busy and tiring week but its the weekend
and I am on annual leave next week so time to recharge
and get some fun stuff done!
These are a few cards from the last couple of days......
The first one is was an order from a lady at work.
She wanted a card and her request was for one that....
was funny,
for a man's 50th
he lays brick driveways....not sure why she told me this fact it didn't help!
he looks like Richard Fairbrass from Right Said Fred.
oh and he used to be a male stripper........
so this is what she got.....
She and all the other secretaries loved it!
Thank goodness!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Next is a card for a friends Birthday, that sat in my bag until today so will be really late on getting to her!
Not my usual colour combo but her fave, so that's why I did it!
It is my take on A spoonful of sugar's sketch by Debbie.
I turned it on its head so that Daisy was facing the right way.

And lastly is my take on Friday Sketcher challenge this week by Jacqueline

It is a request from someone else at work for her computer loving brother.
well thats me.....Brodie is on his way round to play with Poppy dog.
I have a few more cards to post but haven't sorted that post out yet!!!
