the beads bit

My blog header has been a bit of a
trades description problem for a wee while.
Not been beading for some time now.

I must admit I go between various
crafty hobbies from time to time.
I do enjoy my card making,
and I always tend to wander back to it.
This card is for a few challenges.
Papertake weekly want stitching.
A spoonful of sugar want animals.
Penny Black, want paper patching
I am not sure if I should call this
paper patching so will maybe have another go.

But the beads came out to playthese last few weeks.

These are such sweet beads that you can get at
Sugar Nellies.
I got two sets for me and these two sets
are for gifts for a friends
who all ready have the bangleyou thread them on.

A few makes to share with you....
My fave make so far...
green ceramic beads on cord necklace.

this wee bangle.

And a cord /bead necklace.

Also in purple.

And red with back.

Some beaded wrap around bangles .

And to end,
my fellow crafter....
AKA Bella the destroyer...

who is shattered
after raiding my craft room,
tipping out the paper scraps bin,
running down stairs and out side
into the garden with
the loo roll in her mouth,that was attached to the
loo roll holder.....
and shredding most of the leaves
of my beautiful bay leaf tree!

With her big sister Poppy-dog.
and yes Bella always sticks her tongue out when
she sees food!

Bless!

Sunday smigings.

What a beautiful day it has been here
today, hopefully you have all been enjoying
this glorious weather as well!

Some makes and bleathers to share.

This one is using my new Sugar Nellie
little cotton rabbits.
I love these guys!
The embossing means I can enter it in both
The Crafty Pads & Allsorts challenge.
Hidden treasures want Ribbon.

Now over at Kath's blog you will see a post
about a crop in the North East of Scotland
on the 3rd of July,
which is not only going to be great fun
but is also fund raising for Save the children.
Now I wont be able to go, but wanted to make something
for this great cause.

They have asked you make
something in red and white and cheerful.
So here is mine.....

The plain red heart is held in place
with a small piece of fishing line.

Secret Crafters wanted strawberries and cream
so thats sorted here.
ABC wanted extra dimension.
I think the cut out and suspended heart fits the bill.

Here is the inside.

Got to have me some Edward....
my fave pixie dust of flirting Edward...
*sigh*
No reason for this card....

My cousin is getting married next month
this card for the happy couple
takes elements from their
wedding invite.
The embossed panel is shimmery
and slightly different shade of white
than the base card.

and to finish before I go blog hopping....

My babies,
It is getting harder to get a photo
of the two of them staying still!

Enjoy the sunshine
have a great week!

fun in the sun

Warning!
Many photos ALERT!

My Crafty Ribbon Challenge Ribbons
for Fun in the Sun arrived
this morning!
So guess what I spent today doing!

This is them half way through me crafting
for WOYWW
It's a bit of a mess.....
And to be honest
not 100% tidy yet... Ooops.

I decided to make a holiday fund tin.
I can not remember if I have
sent the lovelies at Crafty Ribbons
an altered tin before.

I wanted to make a big sun
using my nesties and a punch
to make all the sun beams.

I coloured the backing paper
using small ink pads and smudging.
Was a fab messy job!

The small golden ribbon is also
from Crafty Ribbons and such a great match
the other ribbons.
These ribbons were out of my comfort zone
but I really enjoyed the challenge.

~~~~~~~~~~~
I took the image of the boat from the actual
ribbon and used card to make my boat.
I loved this ribbon,
had a real party feel about it.
I took all the colours of the
balloons on the ribbon.
Then cut out the balloons.
I used embroidery threads as strings.
Regulars here will notice I have used
a Forever Friends bear,
which I love on other peoples
card, but due to me colouring them
so they look like they have been
drunk while applying make up
by the trowel ......
I usually avoid them.
I used my chalks on the white shimmery
embossed card to highlight the words,
and inks to edge again.
Trying to photograph an easel card is
hard enough.....
but add in a bored Bella-Boo....
who loved to grab the camera strap....
shapes in the middle.
First of all I am so chuffed
my card was picked by the random
number generator
over at Papertake Weekly!
*Happy claps* LOL
Right back to this next selection
of cards from the last few days.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This card is using
Lisa's sketch over at
Sketch & Stash.
The new stash is the birdie stamps.
The ribbon is new from Crafty Ribbons,
but the ovals is using fiskers cutting thingy
that I just can not get the hang of at all!

I have a nice new blade, the right mat,
(Thanks Kath!)
but nope.
So I draw round the holes
in the template sheet
and cut them out!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next one is also a challenge card,
can you tell I am
on holiday from work this week?
Sugar Nellie have a sketch by Marlene
and have the added girlie theme if you want it.
Well I am not sure she is feminine
but she is a girl!
I love this wee Gothic Girl !
After being all messy with chalk inks
I just wanted something clean & simple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Creative Card crew want
and easel card.
And my sentiment means
I can enter it in
A spoonful of sugar
who want
good luck or best wishes.
Anyone for Anya want flowers.
I have punched out parchment
instead of velum this time.
They looks so much softer.
This card is using Tash's Sketch
over at Oh Alice!
And Tash wants daisies on the card.
So there are in fact daisies
on the card.

The beautiful Lace was a gift from
my lovely mate Amanda!

No puppy photos today.
Camera they are on is flat!
Hope you are all well.
much love Teen

squares & sparkles

Happy Fathers Days
to all the Lucky Daddies out there.

A couple of cards made last night,
couldn't sleep, Andrew was
on a night shift.

This one was to be for
Passions for Promarkers.
The sketch wanted a circle in
the centre but I never
noticed and I had printed a
frame on the sheet when I printed
my digital image.
I didn't want to trim it down
and loose the details.

So I am entering it in
One Stop Craft Challenge
who want one for the boys.
This is a pixie dust download.

I am also entering it in Allsort's sketch.
I must admit, I looked at it, and
thought it was just for Penny Black stamps...
need to read things better!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And so this second one is for
Passion for Promarkers.
It is Debbi's last sketch and it is also
one for the boys.
With my Pixie Dust flirty Edward....
*sigh*
I am entering it at Pixie Dust
who want Red, Black, white and /or silver.
Those follow Twilighters out there will know
that my Edward only sparkles in the sunshine
so I am also cheekily entering it in
A spoonful of sugar who want
us to enjoy the sunshine....
I would so enjoy the sunshine if I had
me an Edward sparkling beside me.
A naughty Puppy to finish with.
Andrew had both girls out for their
morning walk today.
They run around on a bit of open ground
which has some back garden fences
enclosing one side.
Poppy has a friend Oscar,
a young chocolate lab
who lives in one the houses.
They always touch noses and say hello.
Bella found a hole in the fence
so wondered on in....
and followed Oscar into his house.
His Dad came out and returned Bella.
*sigh*
Her latest thing is stealing cushions
and taking them outside to lie on.....
What am I going to do with her?
Blooms & Bags.
I am so glad it is the weekend!
And even more so since I
am on leave
from work next week!
WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Have a few cards made over the
last few days.
This one is for a lady at work
who has had an operation.
I am entering it at ABC Challenge
who want the weather on the card.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Paper take weekly want your
card to be done in the colours of
ice cream flavours.
Well mine is strawberry and mint.
The paper is Bo Bunny,
and looked so pretty
I just added the sentiment, image
and some sukura pen to it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This one is a wee bit cheeky.
A lady at work wanted a card
for one of the midwives she works with
at the family planning clinic.
The lady is bag daft
and loves Radley bags.
You know the ones with the
wee Scottie dog tag on it.
And because she works in family planning
I decided to add condoms...
to make one into a wee keyring.
As you do......
Lastly ....
the brown eye girls...
Bella is growing fast,
like the many weeds that someone has
left in my once beautiful garden!
Bella is killing many of the plants,
digging holes,
and leaving decapitated toys
all over the place,
it looks like a war zone!
It will all be alright.
It is just a phase....
Hope you are all fine,
have a great weekend.
sparkles
I have a few more cards here,
I seem to have time to craft or blog
but not both.
So I craft for a few days then blog!
Sorted!
You remember this card.......
Well......
it won a challenge
over at Pixie Dust!
Woooooooooooooo hoooooooooooo!
Back to the makes!
This one is for a lady at work
who's daughter got married.
The wall hanging has some
hand made roses.
I need to do some housekeeping
on my printer,
the groom looks a bit stripy.
Next a belated birthday card for
one of my very good mates,
who's Birthday I completely
forgot about!
I think I need to add some flowers to
the bare bit beside Alice's feet.
This one is a request for a lady
at work to give her mate.
They are having a glamorous
party for her Birthday.
Thanks to Tasha for the link to this stamp.
Lastly my Father's day card for my Dad.
We call him Gramps, or Grumps !!
I am a real Daddy's girl.
Lastly.....got to finish off with
a photo of my girls!
They slept like this!
Hope you are all grand!
Cats, Dogs, wolves and love triangle!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
I have had a lovely afternoon crafting.
This card is for my FIL Father's day card.
I am entering it in One Stop Craft Challenge
in their sketch challenge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Something Completely Different
want skinnies which are 3"x5"
and this week it is cats.

I really enjoyed this,
I used up basic gray scrap.

But then decided to make it into a card.
which I used a sketch from
Stash & Sketch.
The basic gray is paper scraps I have
stored away for months, as is the tiny
bit of ribbon I have kept.
None of the stamps are new either.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Over at Paperbabe's blog
I saw the most amazing
pop up easel card!
Kim had made it so
a character popped up
using an acetate cube.
I had so much fun with this card.
I have used my new PixieDust
Twilight digi images again.
I am entering this at thier
Twilight Blog Hop.
Twilight has become a slight obsession...
Hubby might not agree on my
use of the word slight ! LOL !
I love these guys.
I am entering it in a few challenges.
Secret Crafters want a quote.
If you don't know Twilight,
Bella loves Edward,
Edward Loves Bella,
Jacob loves Bella...
Bella is a pain in the butt!
I love Edward!!! LOL!
Talking about love.....
Its the snuggly twosome again!
Much love Teen xxx
