Happy Inky to me.

Having a fabulous extra long weekend off work,
and spending it doing something fun every day!

I spent all day on Wednesday with my Hubby,
nice lunch out and some Xmas shopping.
Thursday was a fun day with my Bestie, doing Girlie stuff
and out for lunch in a new French place.
Friday was a days shopping with my Bestie
including updating my wardrobe with smaller sizes!
We both had a fab evening with my
crafty Cousin Joyce.
Saturday morning, cousin Joyce and I spent
 the afternoon crafting at The Papeterie with Kath.
And we made these fab cards!

 A meal afterwards with some of the Girlies
from the The Papeterie which involved
lovely food and even better company
was the perfect way to spend my 42nd Birthday.

Today brought my younger brother and his three kids visiting.
Our Poppy dog just loved all the fuss.

 Bella enjoyed being brushed and hoovering up the
lunch the kids managed to spill!
A job Miss Boo took very seriously!

I was not that delighted to discover the
girls were using my brush to pamper Bella Boo!

Afterwards one of our beautiful nieces and her partner took their dog
 and her sister's dog over to go walking with out dogs.

Cake and coffee and a chat afterwards
was a great way to chill out on a Sunday evening.

I don't go back to work till Thursday and already have
two more lunch dates booked up!

Hope you are all having a fab weekend!

a piece of work

I fell in love with making canvas
pieces after doing one last year
at the first
Girls Just Wanna have fun
with Kath, Debbi & Anne.

The photos are again nae great,
as they say round here.

The first three here, were Christmas gifts.

This one was my Mother in Law, and very inspired
by the one we did at the girls day.

~~~~~T~~~~~
This one is made using various bits from our
niece Robyn and her new husband Paul's wedding.
Including the menu, invitation,
the seed packet all the ladies at the wedding
were given for favours,
and some raffia held the menu scrolled up.
The birds were used to decorate the
hall, there was a bird theme
the whole way through the wedding.
I edged them with inks,
added stitching and gems for eyes.
~~~~~T~~~~~

The next one is using photos
of a lovely friends wee girl.
What a beautiful wee honey she is too!

The last one,
is kinda personal to me.
It is representative to changes
in my life.

I really enjoyed making all of these.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Wishing you all many good things in 2012.

cakes and makes.

I have been busy with baking
this last wee while.
Muffins and cupcakes have found
their way into work.
These were carrot cake with
vanilla cream cheese frosting.

And a last batch of roast beetroot chutney
until new beets come into season.

The colour of this was just amazing,
the smell of hot vinegar not so much!

~~~~~T~~~~
Have made a few cards too.
This one was from a stamp that
had all nine wee dog pictures
all on the same frame.
I decided to cut each wee frame out
coloured the dogs and layered
each wee stamp up before sticking down.
~~~~~T~~~~~

Slightly different but same idea for
the end result.

The next card was one a friend asked
me to make, her friend was retiring
and looking forward to traveling,
now he has no ties to keep him at home.
He has no pets but a wormery!
She asked for worms and a passport.....

Two birthdays in one week.
My sister's son Martyn
and my Brother's daughter Eilidh
have birthdays two days apart.
They were both 18 this year.

Eildih's card was one we made
in Kate's class at the House of Sugar.
As soon as I saw the card I decided to
keep it for Eilidh.

Pixie Dust want shiny cards this week,
so mirror card I think applies.
Lili of the valley want ribbons and bows.

~~~~~T~~~~
Last card is my take on
It is also my take on Erika's sketch
over at Sugar Nellie, including optional extra
of making it distressed.
Cute card Thursday want some distressing too.
Crafty pad want spots & dots,
the spotty paper is I think paper mania.
My time to craft want some scalloping.
(is that even a word?)
I am trying to keep up with blogging
and just when I found time
Blogger was being naughty!!
I hope you are all well.
she loves cupboards.
This is the baking one....
A close up.....
Sleeping beside my sister....
This card is for my Dad.
I am a real Daddy's girl.
My Dad is my Mum's carer
and needs his fishing time to
give him time to himself.
I used See D stamps.
I am entering it for two challenges this week.
Cute Card Tuesday ~ Boys to men.
Stampin for the weekend ~ A card for a male.
hope you are all fine.
Wee ones, not so wee now
This week 16 years ago I became an Aunt again,
on the Wednesday my Sister
had a baby boy 10 weeks early
weighing in at 2lb 4oz!
two days later on the Friday
my SIL had a baby girl quiet a few days late.
weighing in a fair bit heaver.....
This is the first time the two babies met!
Martyn & Eilidh.
They have always been so very different
from each other in all ways.
He has straight blonde hair
she is dark and curly .
Thats them either side of Martyn's
older sister Becca.
With Eilidh's wee brother Billy.
Talking of hair isn't Billy's fabulous!
He looks like a highland warrior in his kilt!
Martyn was always really skinny
& a lot smaller than
Eilidh & other kids his age.....
These picture were taken at the last family wedding.
They have grown up sooooooo MUCH!
Martyn is now much taller than Eilidh.
Happy Birthday You TWO!
Sweet 16 eh!
cars & bikes
This is the only card I have made
since my wee production the other day.
Our neighbour passed her driving test.
I am entering it on the
House Mouse Monday Challenge
who are looking for a tall card.
We have still got a wee drop of snow.
Mostly, the problem is ice now.
It was -7 when I went to work this morning.
And -9'c when Andrew cycled home after his night shift.
Aye , you did read that right....he cycled home.
Not usually a problem.
We live near the RAF base he works on,
and it is quicker for him to cycle than drive.
For the first time ever...almost 20 years.....
he hit ice & came right off his bike!
He hss badly bruised his hip and leg.
A trip to the local surgery this afternoon
ended with some lovely pain killers from the GP.
My lovely therapist friend is coming to the house
tomorrow to give him a treatment.
My trip home from work started with my car
sliding on ice trying to get out of my parking space!
No damage done, but a bit scary!
I do like snow, but am not so keen on ice!
Stay safe & warm.
