Happy & Sad.

A mixed bag today.
A bit like our weather,
we have had glorious sunshine,
sea Harr blowing along,
dinging doon rain stotting off the road
and thunder....
all in one afternoon.

Welcome to Scotland!

Sad bit first.

A friend of Andrew's family died this week
after a long and courageous
battle against breast cancer.
My thoughts are with her Husband, children
and grand children.

There were meant to be 6 pearls on the card
to represent her 6 children,
but I have just noticed one is missing....

I wanted it to be clean and classy.
But am wondering if it looks too plain.
there is a slight hint of colour on the SU tulip.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happier things made afterwards
to cheer me up.
This is my Dad and my Nephew fishing.
I could not get a decent picture
due to the dull weather and the photo's
not being great to start with.
I finished his name tag.....
And lost the fishies I have had sitting on my
craft desk for week to put on it!
I think I will just leave it
without as the papers ( basic grey I think)
are fairly fussy anyway.
And lastly.....
My furry monsters...
Bella still thinks she should sleep as close to
Poppy as she can get....
and if that means on her head
than so be it....
This was her with me telling
her to get off Poppy.
Yeau....this is her ignoring me
and going back to sleep...
on top of Poppy...
Hope you are all well.
Much love
Me xx
Martyn & Eilidh
17 years ago, my sister and my brother's wife
both had babies two days apart.
Martyn was born 10 weeks early & weighed 2lb 4oz.
Eilidh was born late weighing nearly 9 lbs.
This was the first picture of the two of them together.
Hard to believe that Martyn is the older of the two.
He was much smaller than Eilidh
until about a couple of years ago.
This was taken two years ago at my hubby's 40th.
Martyn is now a good couple inches taller than Eilidh
and his beautiful sister Rebecca who is in blue.
Martyn was born on the Wednesday.
This is his card.
Eilidh was born on the Friday.
This is her name hanging.
I loved the shimmer on the purple card stock
so have kept this very simple.
The butterfly's are vellum.
We got engaged on the Thursday of that week.
What a week, I gained a tiny nephew who
spent many weeks in NICU.
A strong healthy Niece.
And a Fiancé!
It sure don't seem that long ago!
Name Tags
I was wandering around blogs a while back..
I had missed Kath's Demo Visit to
my local craft shop in Elgin.
I recognised Kath's work
that was left in the shop as samples
and it was just stunning!
So I went for a look on Kath's blog
to see what other goodies
were on her blog.....
& to see what Buddy had been up to!
The Wall Decoration she had on that post
in the above link was
so pretty, and I remembered it
when I was thinking about making
my Niece a Birthday card.
It became more of a name tag
for her instead.
She loves pink and Butterflies.
I used the nestability thingys
to cut my shapes out.
See- D's to stamp on the bright pink card
with silver ink.
The bottom white card was smudged
with silver ink and edged in
bright pink ink.
The letters were cut out with cuttle kids dies.
I can't remember who makes the punch.
It is a favorite of mine just now.
Some pink beads and vellum flowers were
punched out with flower buttons to finish
them off....
Her sister and Brother now want
ones made for them.....
It is good to be back,
not sure how much I will be around.
Away to go see what you have
all been up to .
much love Teen xxx
