Race for life

This post will stay at the top till 31st May.

I think we all know someone who is or has battled Cancer
and sadly have probably have lost someone we loved due to Cancer.
If you can, if you want to make a donation to a Cancer Charity
have you thought about donating to Race for Life?

Fellow Blogger Kimmie is doing
Race for life this year.

Please don't forget to tick Gift Aid...
it means Cancer research gets an extra 25% at
NO EXTRA COST TO YOU!

If you take a few moments to sponsor someone it
is quicker than a wee touch of online shopping......

And £5 is less than your usual rubber stamp....
with no P&P

Race for life stamp

Debbie over at Crafty Pad has designed this fab stamp
to help support RACE FOR LIFE!

She is called June as some of the race's
will take part during June.

The stamp costs £3 & £1 for each stamp
will be donated to Race for life!
Which is FANTASTIC!

The banner is blank and the Race for life text
is separate so you could use this for a
Good Luck or Happy Birthday card.

She will be available as a pre order from
Monday 18th May
& shall be dispatched on the 25th May.

What a fab idea,
helping raise money for Cancer research
and crafting all at the same time!

Crafty Pad # 23 sketch.

Sunday again so soon.....
that means its Crafty Pad time!

This week we have a nice easy sketch:)
You may twist and turn it and add other embellis too if you wish. :)

Any entries using a Crafty Pad stamp will
have their name entered into the draw TWICE.:)

Any entries NOT USING a Crafty Pad stamp
will have their name entered into the draw ONCE. :)

The winner will get to choose a single stamp from The Crafty Pad. :) :)

June Doing the Race for Life stamp is exempt from the prize.

Us Dt girls have chosen Belinda this week.
I have turned the sketch around so
I could pop a wee tag in with a hidden message.

The papers are papermania and I used my
much neglected whisper pens this time.

The flower is punched from scraps
and the daisy border is also a crafty pad stamp.

Some changes on the DT team,
sadly saying goodbye to Dawn who
has done amazing DT pieces
and hello to Maxine.

much love tina xxx

in a box

If I have scheduled this properly
then you should be seeing
my MIL's 70th Birthday card
and we should be enjoying her
Surprise Birthday Party!

First of all the box it comes in....
as you know my in-laws call my MIL~ MOP

The happy birthday strips are paper
from my the local craft shop
that I do my card classes in.

The flower is stamped leaves put through
a crinkle machine thingy...
( what do you call it? )

Inside it is a folded card,
with another leaf flower.

I will be making these again.

I do like this card, but it is a bit floppy!

Since it is a special Birthday I have put a poem
on the inside of the box.

Here is the whole set.

I am entering it in the creative card crew's
challenge for a shaped card.

bits & pices

I have had a busy few days.
Got a few cards done, hope you don't
mind me posting them all at once.
I am entering several challenges with them too.

First one is a house mouse sketch card.
The papers are beautiful.
It was hard to cut the one with the text on it !
I used a glue pen to add some glamour dust
to the word love, it is going in the post
to some one special soon. x

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My pal Mairi has sadly lost her fantastic wee dog Ben
he was an important wee man to both Mairi
and her mum, so I made them matching cards.
I kept them simple and non fussy.
The black card has the same paw print stamped
on with versa mark.
I used silver embossing on one paw print only.
Inside I printed my message
which included this text.
It's hard when you loose a much loved
furry family member.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This card is made using Sammi's dove image
that she designed just for me for my Birthday!
How cool is that!!!

I am entering it in ABC challenge
who want it to be orderly.
So that means if you have one bit of ribbon
you must balance it with another one.
I am also entering it on A spoonful of sugar
who want a celebration card.
what better celebration than a marriage.

I love these pair of love birds!
I have layered them on black card
and put that on red paper I embossed.

My time to craft are looking for love & marriage
so thats just perfect for this card !

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you know I am loving this flower stamp
very much just now, I am trying to make my
sister several cards with her fave Love is passage.
So I came up with this......
I stamped the flower using brown stazon,
coloured with distressing inks.
Used the same stayzon to stamp
the love is onto acetate.
Held it in place with brads.
The flowers are green vellum
with wee pearls in the centre.
I am entering it in Once stop challenge as effort
of a vintage card. Vintage is not my normal
at all, I am not sure it is vintage enough.
so that's me, a mixture of friendship, love,
sadness, and birthday wishes....
hope you are well.
flowers from me to you!
It's half way through the working week already!
Plans for today include quiet house work
but no hovering till later on as Andrew
is sleeping off a night shift.
Need to finish off something I started at class
last night and get another card finished.
But here is one I made earlier!
This image is another one of Sammi's new marriage images.
I love this beautiful flower display.
Stampin Up circular stamps to make a wee button.
Distressing inks and sukura pen to colour
with a wee sprinkle of glitter on the flowers.
The beautiful pink ribbon is from Poppicrafts.
Now for my brown eyed girl!
She has a toy that we use for playing fetch at her puppy class.
She is not ment to have it apart from at dog class
so she stays interested in it when we use it.
Guess who found it !!!
Guess who loves it!!
She keeps bringing it to me in exchange for a treat!
She does give it up,
but then takes it away
so she can bring it back again!
You are given this toy ,
even if you don't want it
or are busy!!!
black, white & red all over.
My lovely bloggy mate Sammi
over at Crafty Muse has designed
some beautiful new marriage images
which will ready for sale on Friday.
This lovely wee image
is a collection of words
" Love & Marriage
Bride & Groom "
I am entering it as a minimal card
for Creative Card Crew
I took the colours from a Wedding Favour
sweetie bag which was a red bag,
and sliver wrapped chocolate hearts.
I have used it to make this Wedding Card
A place setting at a wedding feast.
A tag for a sweetie bag
which was given as a wedding favour.
I am entering it as a set in
Allsorts new blog challenge.
who want SWEETS as their theme.
So, if the rain stays off
I am off to plant in the garden...
if not....more crafting for me I think!
Crafty Pad # 22 ~ Shine
Its Crafty Pad time again!
This week we are looking for you to
shine!
As in sunshine, shiny cards, metallic or glitter
You may use any stamp,
any embellishments/ribbons/brads etc. :)
If you use a Crafty Pad stamp your
name will be entered twice for the prize.:) :)
If you DO NOT use a Crafty Pad stamp
then your name will be entered once for the prize. :)
The prize is any single Crafty Pad you would like.
So this week all the Crafty Pad team
are all using the Butterfly set.
I have made a sun catcher.
Not the easiest thing to try to photograph though!
I started with felt flowers,
added orange sequins on both sides
to each petal & an orange button to the centre
Beads were knotted on along the fishing line,
I really must ask my dad, how to tie better knots
on fishing line so they look neater!
Using stayzon to stamp the large butterfly
onto acetate and coloured using glass markers.
I used stickels and liquid pearls
It ended up with a nice crackly effect against the sun
I hung a butterfly charm at the bottom
this helps add weight to the sun catcher
and helps it hang straighter.
I hope you come on over & see
what the lovely DT girls have made,
including Pascale who joins us as our guest DT.
Fancy joining in with us this week?
Have you seen Crafty Pad has a sale on too?
Saturday
Got a few cards done this evening
while DH watched eurovision.....
Don't know why I am admitting to that!
It is a multi challenge card!
For Penny Black its a recipe challenge
Recipe 3..2...1
Three Flowers....2 Papers.....1Charm/Brad
One stop craft challenge are looking for
Pink & Brown on this weeks cards.
Papertake weekly want us to show
some animal antics.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The next card started life off as this

But it was on really more squint
than I thought it was,
and I wasn't keen on all green card.

So I chopped it up a bit and
layered it on pink card.
Applied it to white base card

A few gems, and a sentiment.
Am much happier with it now.

I have had fun with new images
coming out from Crafty Muse
and will show you those makes soon.

Have a wee sneaky peek for tomorrow
Crafty Pad Challenge.

Do you know what it is.....?

Great Gingham !

This card is for a lassie at work,
for her Niece's 6th's Birthday.

I stamped the ribbon with a See D sentiment.
The balloon is a sizzex die.
The gorjuss Girl is one of a swap with Debbi
and I had a go at her "how to shade hair. "
Need to practice that a bit more.

I am entering her in
My Time to Craft who want Kids Kards.
Cute Card Thursday want Numbers & Letters.
I am not sure about the gingham backing paper.
It is a wee bit shiny for my liking.
It came in a pack with new
"how to book" I bought.

I used a wee bit inside

And on the back with some fake stitching.

hope you are all fine.
love Tina xx

oooh la la!

lace, glitter and double sided sticky sheet!

Thats what was used at card class to
make this beautiful glitter lace effect
on both cards, with a bodice template.

I didn't get this one finished....
too much laughing!
I still have the greeting that says
something French to be layered
and stuck on.
And I have two wee gems to add
to my suspender belts!!!
*blush*

Can I also had you have to be careful
where you apply the lace to so you don't
end up with big flowers over the bust area
or it looks a bit too rude!

Second card is a bit more classy!

Same lace as a template but on cream card
and made into a ball gown with gold & white
glitter to make the lacy panel.

Narrow cream ribbon for a sash or belt on the dress.

Now trying the living room window sill
for taking my photos as the summer sun
was pouring through there.
Not great but will do the job.

Talking about cheeky......

I know I haven't got that bit weeded.
or tied back the daffodil leaves
but.......Had to show you this!

*sigh*

Am on late shift today so best get myself
organised and ready for work!
