cuddles & cards

Thank you for all my get well wishes
I am all better now.

{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}

Well the sun is shining and Poppy is happy
as her wee mate Brodie was round
and after some manic playtime
it was time for a cuddle & sleepy.
Brodie likes to sleep using
Poppy's bum as a pillow!

Anyway.....I digress.
I think I am am slowly finding my mojo...
but I think the sunshine
wins over crafting just now.

This one is made with a flower petal stamp set.
Not sure where the sentiment is from
think it was a see D stamp.

I am liking chalk smudging
for the edges just now.
The card has a slight shimmer to it.

My second card is an order.
I can't decide if it is too
plain or not......
It is for a fella.

Hope you are all fine
best go see what you have all been up to,
much love
Teen xx

two makes for tuesday

I love card class, time to craft with others
trying out new techniques.

these two we made this week
are two of my fave !

Excuse the blue kirby grip ....
It is just to hold it together while I took the picture.

These great wee sea gulls we used
were die cuts June took in for us.
Living near the sea I don't like seagulls much,
they steal food including once from our BBQ
dive bomb locals including children
and small animals ! !
But these are cracking !!

The image is stamped in versa mark
then coloured using chalks.
I have not worked with chalks before but am hooked!

The black card circle & image is cut out using
nesties and edged using a gold marker pen.

The white thread is ment to be in a reef knot.
But I pulled it a wee bit hard and you don't see the knot so well.

I carried on the black card with gold edging
inside on the smaller fold of this gate fold card.

My second card is a template card.
We used grey metalic card & mirror card for
the spout & the top bitty.

We used a green ink pad to age the pot.
which is curled a wee bit to make it more 3-D
The leaves are placed behind & over the pot.

I love the wee plant pot and leaves.
We used ink pad to age the pot.
The seed packet and spilling seeds as just dinky.
It has actual seeds glued onto the card.

I enjoyed both these cards.

my impression of Monets Garden

The lovely Chrissie has posted a Friday's fable...and I know it's almost Sunday....
but here is what I ended up with.....

I am really pleased with the result.
The stamp was from the lovely Emma, and the backing card was
smudged with the chalk inks I am very taken with at the moment!
The strip along the side the flowers are attached to what was an experiment
I did with water colours a while back.
I was saving it for a rainy day.
The card it is on has a lovely feel to its texture.
Oh and it was smudged with a touch of purple chalk ink.

It was certainly a rainy day yesterday!

It's been a good day today, and I have needed that.

It started with a cuddle from Poppy.....

I bought some uber healthy food from the hippy shop.
And a few beautiful crystals....

The new piece's of amethyst are sooooo pretty.
I have several bits already but was drawn to a few more bits.

A late lunch down near Findhorn Bay with a friend.
Then we watched video & laughed with so hard it hurt my ribs!

And then a nice bit of crafting time...

All that is a day that is good for the soul!
