stuff

Am getting in to the swing of Andrew being on night shifts.
Not Poppy though, she can't understand
how she is not allowed in the bedroom while he is sleeping,
let alone chew and chomp on her nylon bone beside him!

She may have been my idea but she is his girl!
I am more strict with her.

She is watching a cat in the garden in this photo.....
cats are scary and not to go near!

Right....what did I get done today.

Well over at The Sugar Bowl #2 challenge they want things in three's.

"use three different design papers
and three different types of embellishments on your cards!
No more, no less.
(by types of embellishments we mean, buttons, brads, flowers, ribbons, beads, bling etc)

Also if you can use three suagr nellie stamps you get entrered in the prize draw twice!

So here we have Hamish, Maggie and Angus the dog with his bone.
So that's three stamps.

I used the blue spotty paper, and blue paper that looks like water
and then tartan backing paper on it.
My three types of embellishments are the ribbon, the flowers
and the brads in the flower centres.

The inside.

I enjoyed making this, am not sure who to send it to as I am up to date with my image swaps.
Including extra ones I promised folk.
So ....was thinking I might offer it and some ribbons as a wee blog candy.
One each of 20 different images including the new Leanne Ellis set of six,
and the trio on the front of the wallet.
Also my fave one just now, Daisy.

What I will do is offer it and some other stuff next month
when it will be one year since I started this blog.
My hits counter has gone belly up twice now,
so has been removed.

It also covers the ABC Challenge which is W for wallet!
I love their challenges, and love looking to see what
they are coming up with for this weeks letter!
Be interesting to see what they do next week for X.....

Next is my ATC covers a couple of challeges too...
This Thursday are looking for something with whiskers!
It is of course a house mouse. Thanks to Chrissy for this cute guy.

Over at House Mouse Monday Challenge they are looking for an ATC.
I am trying out mixed media.
The wee thingy on the end of the green cord is a leaf stamped onto shirnk plastic.
I embossed the green white core card using my birdie cuttle bug folder.
Then sanded it a wee bit and used gold ink and walnet distressing ink on it.

I have had skeleton leaves for a while but never knew what to do with them!

Is it too much for an ATC?

you all doing ok?
much love Teen xx

A moon and a couple of moo's

the moon last night was stunning!
my picture dose no do it any justice at all......
I do love a full moon, brings out the witch in me!

We got lots of candles this xmas.
Mind you that's one thing every good witch needs!

BUT how pretty is this one?

Anyway.........back to the Moo's

The lovely Dawn sent me a wee moo the other day,
and I had a go at making my first moo today....made a few...

here are two.

I like the second one better.

Also added a wee ATC.

add it all together with some stamped images
and some 6 x 6 papers.....

wrapped it in a bow

and will pop it in the post on Monday!

who is it coming to......

My Fave of 2008

Dawn has taken on the challenge and challenged us all to look at the work
we have done in 2008 and pick our 10 faves....
I thought it would be easy to do.

In no particular order.......

Firstly is the first ever scarp page I did.
Emma Elfie helped me and it was for my friend Bunty.
The beautiful young woman in it Laura, died this summer.
Aged just 24 , two weeks before she was due to marry her soul mate Richard.

This was my first ATC, Emma also helped me with this.
I love the colours on it with the contrasting papers on the leaf.
It was also one of my first cuttlebug dies.

This was a card that was way out of my usual style.
I love all the different papers on it.
And the saying on it , was something Laura used to say.

Next a recent make.
The Holly King, a pagan card for Yule
made for my Dear friends Nan & Paul.

Our niece Robyn got engaged to Paul this spring.
This exploding box was full of pictures of her and Paul.
The rose in the centre too ages to make.

There HAD to be a Poppy Dog one!
This was one of my fave Xmas cards.
With guard dog Poppy reporting for duty sir!

Friends of ours got married at the start of December.
This card followed a sketch and I wasn't sure about the rings on it.
But the lace is actually spare lace left over from making my wedding dress!

An early make.
The butterfly is a brooch I made.
I love butterflies, I have one as a tattoo on my shoulder.

A lady at work became a Nanna and this is a book to celebrate
her Grand daughter Matilda's birth.

Each page has details of her weight,
or the date or the
place of birth.

And lastly a card that looks quiet cute from the outside....

And inside is the nativity scene.
I actually changed the star inside
to a bigger one that Sammi gave me.

It took ages to get everything to fit
and the donkey and lambs come out
and act as stabilisers for the card.
Mary, Joesph and Baby Jesus pull to the centre.
I must admit.
I thought it had three wise men and two shepherds.
and we almost had two Josephs on the card......

Looking back.....many of my cards have green or brown on them....
I do love green and browns!

Have enjoyed this looking back at the last year.
But its been so much fun as you guys have done this year with me.

Many hugs my lovelies.

Friday happiness

Good day today, don't need to go back to physio for three weeks.
Elbow is improving so thats making life easier all round.

Had another go at two sketches that I liked the look of ,
but again just couldn't get into them.
So have gone for simple makes , but am happy with same.

I love this backing paper, I only have a few small bits left,
perfect for ATC or tag here.
I am entering it in the Tag you're it #33 this week green & red.

The wee Angels are Lulu & AJ dinkie dots stamped onto
shrink plastic shrink and coloured with promarkers.

The beautiful peace stamp is done with olive green powder and heat embossed.
I would like to find a dove stamp that fits in space, I have two but one is too big and one it too small. I even tried stamping big dove on shrink plastic but it was way too small when shrunk.

I know I have shown similar cards here but i do love these little robin peel offs.

Perfect for using up my small scraps of backing paper as they are small pre-cut cards.

Andrew is working a 12 hour day shift tomorrow, so apart from making a huge pan of Bolognese to freeze, I am planning a hoover, a quick dust , some crafting and then dinner here with a mate.

Them's the plans anyway!!!

was left half done

I found some bits n bobs half done or half finished on my craft desk this afternoon, so gathered them up and finally got them finished.

Need to check with Natalie if this wee hedgie is a penny black stamp or not.
If so will enter him in a ATC challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

This ATC might become a card....not sure yet, will enter it on ABC Challenge
which this week is N for Nature.

I love the plainness of this card.
The sparkly glitter and simple stamp and the scarlet red against the dark bottle green card.

These two cards started off as I was trying to do Arty Girlz Challenge is blue and orange
The only orange I had was perfect Halloween colour,
so doubled it to make it also a card I could enter in
Papertake weekly Challenge is it is fright full but delightful.

Then tried it out using black for the background and will enter this one for a spoonful of sugar
who are doing Halloween this week.

I like the black with the shimmery blue inside so it gives the witch a nice background.

The witch is stuck onto acetate on both cards.
I have a few more bits n pieces that I need to do something with
and a few bits I will put away and see if I can do something with them another day.

Am all warm and cosy inside in a yucky evening,
but it will be soon time for me & Poppy to go to dog class,
lets see if she behaves tonight!

We moved up a class last week, no longer in beginners,
and the other doggies that go seem to know what they are ment to do

and on the whole do it...

now our Poppy dog....well *sigh* ...........life is just one long game!

1,2,3 ......ATC.....1,2,3,4 then I made a puckle more.

I was clearing up after crafting last night and as I sorting all my offcuts & scraps
I came across 2 tags I had forgotten about.

And used up some of the left overs from the breast cancer cards I had made for this one.

I love the pink make a wish ribbon, its very sweet.

I have only made one ATC before.... thought they would be a bit fiddly
but am quiet please with these three wee offerings.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then the ATC bug seemed to have had a wee nip at me,
cause instead of doing the house work that I was ment to
I ended up with these ....
Do they count as a set?
Do I number them 1 of 4 etc?
I tried out a new glitter on the peace Angels wings
but prefer the crystal coloured one more for wings.
I also think I need to put something else on the
bottom of the white pearly card on the Peace , love & Joy stamp
but not sure what ...... Any suggestions?
oh and a puckle is a word my FIL uses to describe a wee drop.
A small amount....a few.
He will ask you a question like.........
"Can you feed a puckle of sheep for me".....this is usually a few sheep.....
that are dotted all around the croft....
in a few differnt places.....
"and you will need a hammer"
WTF for?
"well ......once you cross the burn and climb the hill to feed the puckle o' sheep
you can fix the fence on your way over there......"
She brought her mum Emma along too but thats ok.
Had some food and watched some cartoons.
And chatted about this and that....
Didn't do any lego cause mum didn't bring any....
But all in all a lovely afternoon......Also got this beautiful ATC tag card from Emma, she's not bad as mates go you know!
