peek a boo

Decided after making one of the folded cards at class the other night
that I might be able to use it for another idea.

So I came up with this.......

And this the back of the card ......
the star was not part it it.....
But I will add one on now.

Cause the star is dangling inside.........

It is 3-D. they fold down on tabs, and pop up when you open it.

You can see a few scruffed marks where I moved the wise men.
But I am quiet please with this first attempt.

I am entering it in Lili of the Valley as it is four legged animal this week.
So it has a donkey and a few sheep.....you think that will do?

Oh by the way.....

Poppy wants to know why only a few folk have left a comment about
The Sugar Nellie Stamps needing a new home.
You don't have to PIF afterwards if you don't want to!

This way Emma will defiantly get what she wants!!!

Poppy & Blue !

Dog class last night .

Poppy-dog is in love with a handsome Border Collie called Blue.

He is only 18 months old so only a month older than Pops.

They were more settled yesterday evening's at dog class.......
which is much better than them capering and mucking about
like they have done for the last two Wednesdays since meeting each other!!!

They still like to snuggle and Blue nibbles her ear!
Then my darling lady like dog stands on his head!!!

Blue's owner said that he doesn't bother with other dogs ,
he avoids them and that is so not the case with him & Poppy-dog!

But now cuddle in and lie beside each other, with paws crossed!

Very sweet!

Its cute to see them interact, they are both spayed so no puppies will result in this frolicking!

Talking of cute.....this wee Fairy is Princess Amber another wee cutie drawn by Sammi.
I am entering it for ABC Challenge which this week is R is for Ribbon,
I love the butterfly ribbon, I got it in the craft shop I go to card class in. It is so pretty!

This one is a house mouse image that I got from Chrissie ! Thanks babes!
The house mouse blog's challenge this week is All about Christmas.

I am also entering it for Cute Card Thursday which this week is snow or snow flakes.
The snow flakes on the red card is done with gold ink and takes ages to dry.
I ended up with some smudges on the brown base card so added more smudges to it.

what happened there???

today has been a funny old day,
It started well enough.

I got this sweet card in the post from my mate Nikki, it is for my Birthday,
which thank you Elfy Emma , I wasn't really gonna mention!!!

Anyway, Nikki is new to card making and I love her card.
How nice is it to get something apart from bills in the post!!

Then I noticed I also got this!

I was moaning on about not being able to find my wee mousie stamped images
that Chrissie sent me, when she offered to sen me a few more! she is such a good friend!!

So along with this beautiful card ......

she had sent me these...................

Anyway, I then went and had some reflexology , which was pure bliss....
came home & decided to make a couple cards.

Did this.....

I wanted to make some with a nativity scene on it, I remembered about PC Crafters that Chrissie used and tried to download some from there.....

I am so rubbish with computer,
the lovely Heidi and I have been exchanging emails so I can open the downloaded file!!!
I have downloaded the wee ladybug browser....I can she her on my desktop......

Can I see the file.....

NOPE!!!!

That thudding I am hearing must be poor Heidi banging her head off the desk,,,,
shouting they are there!!! look right there!!!

*sigh* so the spare time I had and hope to craft in, I have nothing!!!
We are off to Poppy-dogs class tonight so I wont be able to finish looking for this download!!!

Chocolate & card class

Enjoyed another card class at Sally's shop tonight!
A lot of laughing and giggling!

First card involved a lot of folding and I love the end result.

I will use the idea of the folded 6' by 6' centre piece on other simpler cards.

I am also trying to figure out how to do a more complicated card with it.

not sure how easy it will be.

This tag card is for a lovely friend who is having a hard time just now,
the smaller tag is shrink plastic we used chalk inks on to match the card.

Just want to send a hug to her, and thought this was a sweet way to do it.

The smaller tag is shrink plastic.
We used chalk inks on it and sukura pen.

the verse reads

Hugging is healthy
it boosts your immunity.
Invigorates, comforts,
and reduces stress.
A hug is pure & organic,
low fat, naturally sweet,
fully returnable
and absolutely free !

I got home and the house smelt absolutely heavenly!
My hubby had made chocolate brownies with white chocolate chips in them!!

Very much not low fat but absolutely heavenly!

sshhhhhhh!!!

well since Andrew was sleeping off a night shift that ment I needed to stay quiet.
So no hovering or house work for me this morning.

Sp decided to put good use to some stamped images I had laying around after the clear up.
This one is for a spoonful of sugar who are looking for blooming marvelous and also for Arty girlz Challenge who want you to use a quote in your card this week.

I found some beautiful quotes by Helen Keller but this one seemed to fit the card.

" the best most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched
~ the must be felt with the heart. "

It is using one of Sammi's Angelique who is a wee sweetie.

This one is for My Time to Craft Challenge and they wanted a card from it's raining, it's pouring.
I forgot how much I loved this wee hedgehog from Hobby Arts.
And I used the same image stamped on shrink plastic.

It also managed to use up some of the huge amount of lemon gingham ribbon that I seem to have accumulated.

I love the new Sugar Nellie Soft Centre stamps and scardy cat Braveheart is just perfect for this Birthday Card.
I used the sketch #25 from Sktech Saturday Challenge for the layout.

It is not exactly how the sketch is as I had to move the paw print ribbon over a wee bit so you could see the pattern so the cat dose not sit on it as the sketch asked for...but I think it looks ok.

Last picture is a wonderful surprise I recieved in the post today from the lovely Linda!

Thank you very much ! You are so sweet !!!

Am off to card class in a bit ! Have a lovely evening xxx

come out little mousie!!!!

Been having a look at some of the challenges out there just now
and wanted a go at the house mouse one, this week being Christmas.

I know I have a couple of the stamped images that my lovely friend Chrissie
sent me a wee while ago.

CAN I FIND THEM!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

So I started a mass tidy up session. Cause I know I have put them somewhere safe!
I have even used some of the Santa one's she sent me at the same time.

This lead to me finding some half finished cards again and some images that needed colouring in.

This image was given to me by Elfy Emma.

I am entering it in the Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge, this week it is as cute as a button.

Next a sketch challenge for 2 sketches for you this week by Laura.

I must admit I do prefer simpler sketches and some are quite complicated this week.
And I have given up on them. But this one I liked.

This one is for Magnolia V's Stampavie and they wanted you to tie it up,
but since this is for my nephew I didn't think he would like it to haven ribbon on it!

I used the same sketch for this card and did put ribbon it, and will use it for the Penny Black Challenge which this week is to be monochromatic but you can add one wee colour.
So I added a touch of yellow.

It is for my cousin, she has the dreaded lurgy that seems to be on the go.

Lastly this one is one stop challenge which is pretty petals and it is using Angelique by Sammi.

Come on now, go check out crafty muse and have go at her challenge , she has done her first one!

I will add a sentiment to it when I decide who I am giving it to.

Now I have a tidy craft area but no idea where the wee mousies are hiding........

*sigh*

Sometimes what you need

is just to laugh & laugh & laugh till your ribs ache!

Shirleyanne came round last night, we ate a hearty healthy meal,
and then sat and bleathered and cackled till our ribs were aching!

Just what I needed.

SO all my plans of making cards , just didn't happen at all.....
but that is so ok!
