black & white.

No one likes doing sympathy cards,
but, for me, the fact someone cared
enough to make or send a card,
has meant a lot in a time of grief.

And, afterwards.........
it was even more important
to be able to take them all out, and
take time to really look at them.

Time previously had passed in a blur,
too busy getting things organised,
and getting through each event.

Not sure how this became so sad.....
Anyway..........

As much as I hate making sympathy cards,
they are important to me
to try & get them right.

They seem to take me so long to make,
even though I always want them to be simple
and not at all fussy.

This card took me three attempts,
I messed up getting the position
of the stamp right the first time,
I should have stamped it then
cut it out with my nestie.
Then I got an inky finger on it.....
The card may have been black & white
but the air was very blue!

Third time was better.
But my ribbon is not where I wanted it!

Anyway......I actually quite like the end result.

I am enjoying having a friend to stay this weekend,
and have all next week
I hope you are all grand,
and having a lovely weekend.

A very elegant and lovely sympathy card, Tina. I know what you mean about wanting to make them very simple but taking time to get them just right. I'm just the same!

very nice card, its so hard to create something that isn't too morbid for a case like this, you did a good job making it very simple and not flashy
