Autumnal Equinox.

This is time of year is my Fave time.
I love Autumn.

Andrew's Birthday is tomorrow,
a few weeks ago was the anniversary of when we met 16 years ago
and we have been married 14 years on Wednesday.

Today is Autumnal Equinox.

This is the point of the year when once again day and night are equal.

'The reaping is over and the harvest is in,
Summer is finished, another cycle begins'

I love the change in season, the colours of the tree's, the harvest of the fruits.

Making Apple and Rowan jelly is some thing we do every year.

It is not sweet so perfect for using with cold meat and in gravy it is delish!!!
We went gathering Rowan's today but found hardly any.

We have enough for one batch.
Will look else where later on in the week.

I knew Rowan tree's were popular in Scotland to grow in the garden to ward off evil spirits.

But didn't know they had such a history of protection.

There was a huge batch of rosehips , must have a look for a recipe for them....

We also went nut picking..... can you see them???

yeau ....we found 6!!!

I am not sure why everything is such a poor crop this year.

Craft wise.....not done so much, have finished a scrap book page but can't show it here till it has been delivered.
And finished Andrew's Birthday and Anniversary cards.

Birthday wishes , witches and wallets

Got three cards made yesterday evening.

This one is for my friends wee boy John.

I think he will be 6 this week coming.
John is a wonderful wee lad who I love to bits.
have stuck a Birthday peel off in blue on top corner too.

And this is another thank you card,

made with my new one and only Tilda stamp....
First one I have bought !

And being part witch it is just me!

I love purple so how much better can this card get? lol
I must admit I smudged her a wee bit trying to get her done too quickly, so I could post her.

The last one is a wallet card with stamped images in it to send to Natalie for a swap.
It is the third one I tried to make.

The first one was cute, but ended up not big enough.
The second one I managed to spill something all over it so it had to be binned
after I had spent ages finishing it.

But here is the one I have decided to send.....and have just posted!
The contents are a surprise.

I am off to the craft shop with K to have a wonder round and leave my purse behind.
It is Hubby's Birthday and our 14th Wedding Anniversary next week.....

do you think he would like a cuttle bug embossing folder for a gift????

SERIOUSLY??

let it snow....no let it be fall xxx

Am still pottering around making the odd card now and again.
This one I like.

The backing paper is from funky hands I think......the stamped image was a PB from Chrissy.
And under the stamped image I blotted some brilliant white chalk inks. I love them!

It still seems too early to be making Christmas cards.

I love this time of year more, it really is a beautiful time of colours ....
I love the change into Autumn.

I took this on my camera phone today so the quality is not great but the colours are amazing!

Will wander out to the veggie stall later on today.....but I took this one last week.
It is enormous!

fourth time lucky!!

I made a " thank you " fireman card today for my friend K ,
she loves firemen!!!

As I was trying to take a picture of it,

Poppy dog decided she loved getting her picture taken!!!

so we tried again.....

and again......She is just so camera shy!!

anyway here it is fourth time lucky......

Just a wee thank you for all the support she has given me during a difficult time. xx
The stamp and backing papers are paper nations.

Tuesday's card class makes

Well last night's card class was much more enjoyable for me...cause I stayed awake this week!
Can't believe that I fell asleep there last week due to illness & disturbed nights.

We made again made a couple of cards but I can only show you one as the other one is for someone who reads this blog and needs to be kept hidden for a wee while.

but here is my Christmas pudding card....

I will put a peel off or a sentiment on the red plinth.

And you cant see it but the icing or butter brandy over the pudding is glittery.....

I bought the template to make this and you can use it for all sorts.
This is the template I used.....

I will make some more hopefully over the next few days.
Am planning to go round to Emma's over the next few days to get the Troops appeal cards that we have received sorted out.

THANK YOU for all the cards we have so far!!!!

Remember they have to be in before first of October.

purple, sparkles & hiding poppy's

these have been made over last few days, well
actually in last week or so,
I made this one at Emma's well over a week ago,
but have only just taken a picture of it.
It is very different than my normal style.
Wee bit of distressing going on along the edges....

This one is a thank you card, as you can see LOL but is for people at work who
have been helpful in supporting me while I sort some stuff out.

This one is for a lovely mate who has been so supportive , she loves cats and although I have given her a card with the stamp on before it just seemed right as the sentiment summed up what I wanted to say in card!
I am also going to enter it in Nessy's Birthday blog candy.

And this was Poppy who picked up the dry clean face cloth I had dropped and played with it for ages......Andrew put it on her head and she kept it there for ages.....

Do you think , she thinks we cant see her if she can't see us????
She is so funny!
Her bed in the background has become a crash mate
to help her stop when she comes running in so fast through the house,
it stops her smacking into the radiator!!!
