Happy Birthday Kieran

This card is for my friend Nan's wee boy Kieran,
who as you can see will be 4.
I have made the doggies wee eyes white with black spot since this photo was taken.

I am going to enter this into two challenges.

Firstly ABC challenge, which this week is M for Male,
and also Arty Girlz Challenge who have the challenge of numbers.

I like the shades of browns here.

pink black & white....little sprinkle of glitter too!!

I have made this card following a sketch challenge on House Mouse Challenge
but I don't have any of the mouse stamps they sell it won't be entered in their challenge
But it was such a lovely sketch I had a go at it.

I could not get two neat circles cut using my compass or two round cups to draw around,
so substituted the flower with the black edges and white petals.

But I am entering it in Poppicrafts no images competition & you also
needed to use any combo of pink green, black or white and well I love pink, black & white.

Take a look at Poppicrafts blog

- Michelle is having a competition
and the prize is amazing!

remembering Ben & Sam xxx

I didn't post this earlier on in the month,
as I wanted to make sure B & C got this in the post.....

Then I wasn't sure I wanted to share this at all....

Ben & Sam were born too soon,
Both lives were short but very important.
Proudly they are remembered,
and their names should be spoken about out loud.

To my dear friends,
who are the parents of Ben & Sam.

There are no words to say how sorry I am,
another year has passed since you lost them both.

we didn't get a chance to know them,

but will always remember and love them xxx

We love you both too xxx

splish splash poppy taking a bath

well the shampoo for reducing skin irritation seems to be working for Poppy....
no more itching!
no idea what's caused it, will now try reducing bathing and see what happens.
Also will try some sort of fish oil but due to her sensitive tum will have to be careful.

I love the main picture! the itchy bit was on the inside of her back leg and must had felt
better for being massaged with shampoo!!

The shiny pearly card circles are ment to be bubbles!! lol

sunday makes while the beef roasts....

I have had a lovely relaxing day.
Just as well cause my cold had taken a snotty turn for the worst.
So while the beef is roasting and the yorkie batter is sitting waiting to be cooked.

While listening to Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter audio book,
I managed a few cards, some of which will be entered for challenges.

I am enjoying colouring with my whisper pens using the blender pen.
The results are much prettier than neat pen to card.

I will put a sentiment on it later in the top left corner when I decided what I am doing with this card.

It is to be entered in the ABC Challenge, this weeks theme is lace, and I only had thickish lace
so didn't want to put too much on the card, but like the wee bit in the corner.

The next two images are pink petticoats, cute wee birdies.
This one is not for a challenge, just liked how it turned out.

This one was for a challenge but I can't mind which one.... *sigh*

The last one is Sugar Nellie's Chef Hamish, first stamping of this new wee lad for me.
He is for the Sketch Saturday challenge.
Think I will also include him in A spoon full of sugar challenge which is pink and green together.
Again I am happier with the blending of the pens.
the background papers are funky hands paper blossom I think....

blog candy

Natalie is celebration a year of blogging....followed a link to her blog from Linda .

how do you store your ribbons?

Was thinking about finding a better way to store my increasing ribbon stash.....
without crushing or leaving them tangled together.

How do you store yours?

Emma was showing off her ribbon storage here....
and then my order arrived today from crafty ribbons.

These are so cute, and because I didn't know if my mate Shirley was
having a boy or girl I got both....

they are very pretty, and beautiful colours , but this is one of my faves!!!

The camera dose not pick up on the vibrancy of the colours....it may never get used...
just taken out and admired now and again.....
sad I know but admit it, you do something just as sad!!!

The have beautiful textures and patterns,
if I am honest there are more wide ribbons in it than
I had hoped for but maybe it will make me think about different ways to use them.

Now how am I gonna store them? I had a plan for the narrow ones.....but the wider ribbons???

My stand of choice is Labrador!

but slight problem.....when she sits.....

she always has to get involved in anything we are doing!!!
life's never dull with a Poppy dog!
