6th photo

don't know if you have seen the photo tag thingy thats on the go just now....

In the 6th folder, take the 6th picture and post it on your blog.
Write something about the picture.
Challenge 6 new people to join this challenge..

Have been tagged by Natalie, Debbie & weewiccababe

so here we go....

The picture is of Lossiemouth East beach.
We actually have two beaches here.
I go here several times a week with Poppy-dog,
and usually daily in the summer.
The sea is on the left and River Lossie is on the right,
it runs down and joins the sea.
It is the river were my three of my beloved dogs
learned how swim and loved to dig in the soft sand.
Tilly never like the bridge crossing the river over to the sand dunes.
She preferred to splash or swim over the river to get to the other side.
Wee Gizmo strutted across, owing the whole bridge.
As only terriers do!
Half way down the river is where we scattered
some of both Tilly & Gizmo's ashes.
And left plaques at the pets cemetery there.

I knew there would be a good chance of my picture being one of my girlie dogs.
But this one, is I am happy to say
a place of special memories and time of all my girls.
Beautiful place.

Ok so now.....I challenge....oh only 6? I want to add more than 6!

Sammi ~ my lovely Auzzie mate who makes her own stamps!
Chrissy ~ a funny fantastics arty mate who draws, paints and photographs all sort!
Vanessa ~ a very talented crafting friend!

Tuesday already?

Was a lovely day yesterday,
saw Becca , gave her her card and pressie.
Then we met up with four friends for a meal.

Sheena & Zal come up to Inverness a couple times a year
so we get together with them, Katrina & George.

Had a lovely time, lots of laughing and chatting, great food.
And thanks to Martin's money matters....
and their money saving vouchers we shaved loads of money.
They had a voucher for Pizza Express,
you buy one main course and get one free.
And in this case you get the most expensive meal free!!!
And since we had three vouchers it was great.
I have had some great tips and vouchers from this site.
Well worth looking at.

Haven't seen any crafting sites on it so far! LOL

Not gonna get much crafting done today,
house stuff and dog walking and cooking for freezer....

Then pub with mates for a giggle and juice!
I am enjoying getting out and about with mates a lot more these days
and being back at work is ok too!

and to finish .....
a text from my lovely niece which seems to be just so true to me just now.....

There comes a point in your life
when you realise
who matters
who never did
who wont anymore
and who always will....
so don't worry about people from your past
there is a reason why they didn't make it into your future.

have a great day.

love teen xx

Crafty Ribbons,

Have you been to see what gorgeous ribbons
Crafty Ribbons sell???
I have bought some of their fab ribbons and also took
part in their First Ribbon Challenge.

VALENTINES

You were sent 10 free bundles of ribbons,
each bundle will contained metre lengths
of all the new ribbons.
In return for these ribbons you needed to
make two valentine cards from the ribbons.
The ribbons must be used to create the card
NOT just as a bow or a trim

The ribbons are beautiful & they are such great quality.

So here are my two cards,
and they are ready to be posted off tomorrow to
Crafty Ribbons.

This first one I used soft velvet ribbon
folded to make the frame.
Used double sided tape to hold it in place
and brads to fix it and look pretty!

The creamy backing paper has small flecks of pinky fibres.
And the love you heart button came with the ribbons,
along with some puffy silver and gold hearts,
some beaded strings and some other bits & bobs.

I used a thicker ribbon that has a gold tint to it folded it
and trimmed it to make a heart shape.
added more brads from my own stash.

I did think about stamping on the back ground,
but TBH the backing paper is very pretty close up
and the gold flecks in the heart are very pretty
when you see the card as it is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My second card I love!!
I must admit I would like to keep this one for Andrew,
maybe I will make him a similar card.
I free hand cut out a heart,
then cut another one so i was left with a heart frame.
I wrapped a thiner beautiful ribbon that
has small white hearts on it.
and I love the frayed edges at the two points I cut.
The heart button came with the ribbons ,
and there was also a couple of white ones too.
I used silver thread to hand the button from the heart
and stuck it all down , slightly raised up
with silicon glue and the buttons swings around.
Again I have kept this card fairly simple.
I love the second ribbon with Be My Valentine on it.
The white card stock is slightly hammered.
And the base card is red shimmery card.
They are now offering Ribbons for their second Challenge
Love Chocolate!!!
Burns night.
this card has to be viewed with you singing the tune to Scotland the brave!
Using the word Baa......
you will be singing it for ages.
if you need help..... click here
This made me giggle so I am entering this piece of sillyness
in My Time To craft Challenge!
who are looking for a laugh!
Shaker Card ~ Faith
This weeks challenge over on Crafty Pad is to use mixed media,
and this week you can use any stamp you want ,
so if you haven't been joining in cause you don't have a Faith stamp...
now's your chance!!!
If you do have a Faith stamp and you join us
your name will be entered twice in the prize draw!
To be honest I wasn't sure about this mixed media......
But in fact it is just using all the things I like to use on cards!
Just a fancy name for it!
You can use paint, ink, embossing, embellishments, journaling, ribbons....
anything that takes your fancy!
so I used the acetate sheet that Faith Blowing hearts arrived on,
or you could use stayzon ink to stamp her on acetate.
Use foam pads or strips to make an edge
all the way round the acetate under the frame.
Add your shaking material liek teh hearts, or stars or sugar.
Make sure there are no gaps.
place a back on to seal it all in.
Apply to card......
you have made a shaker card!
I used gold ink to smudge all over the red shimmery card base.
And then a card frame that my lovely mate Sammi sent me.
I smudged gold ink over that as well.
I love the gold ink pad..I used it on the biggest flower on the set of three,
and on the button love heart !
I love shaker cards!
I used small confetti metal hearts inside
The buttons and gems and pearls are all dotted on.
I tend to be vet symmetrical with my cards and
this one was me really trying something new.
You can buy Faith stamps over at Crafty Pad.
There is as always as wee prize for the winner of this challenge!
Come and join in with us!
bee or butterfly?
My lovely friend Natalie at NG Cards
sent me this gorgeous card.
And some stamped images of Hanglars
I so want the stamp at the top right with wings...
I have coloured a few in
and made this card for my lovely friend Jackie
who is in hospital for an Op just now.
Is the wee lassie dressed up as a bee?
or as a butterfly?
It is done using a sketch that Dawny P did ....
her first one for PTW a good while back now.
I have added the three gem's above the text,
but took the picture before I did that.
I loved this sketch when it was a challenge
and have used it a few times since.
I made a vellum flower using a punch to make petals
and a old button as the centre.
I do love my buttons just now!
I added three onto this card for my friend S
who is having a sad time just now.
It is the first outing for my stampin up stamps from Julie.
The snow scene has I have just noticed .....
a dog hair sitting on it!
Poppy-dog strikes again!
My DT card for tomorrows Crafty Pad Challenge is finished and post.
Come on by tomorrow and have a look, and join in with us!
here's a wee sneaky peep just....well cause I know I like them!
lots of love Teen xx
