two makes for tuesday

I love card class, time to craft with others
trying out new techniques.

these two we made this week
are two of my fave !

Excuse the blue kirby grip ....
It is just to hold it together while I took the picture.

These great wee sea gulls we used
were die cuts June took in for us.
Living near the sea I don't like seagulls much,
they steal food including once from our BBQ
dive bomb locals including children
and small animals ! !
But these are cracking !!

The image is stamped in versa mark
then coloured using chalks.
I have not worked with chalks before but am hooked!

The black card circle & image is cut out using
nesties and edged using a gold marker pen.

The white thread is ment to be in a reef knot.
But I pulled it a wee bit hard and you don't see the knot so well.

I carried on the black card with gold edging
inside on the smaller fold of this gate fold card.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My second card is a template card.
We used grey metalic card & mirror card for
the spout & the top bitty.
We used a green ink pad to age the pot.
which is curled a wee bit to make it more 3-D
The leaves are placed behind & over the pot.
I love the wee plant pot and leaves.
We used ink pad to age the pot.
The seed packet and spilling seeds as just dinky.
It has actual seeds glued onto the card.
I enjoyed both these cards.
Poppy didn't do it!!!!
Now....I have been very bad
and been blaming poor Poppy dog of
dogging great big holes all over my garden...
but I have found out the real culprit!
It was this mole!!!!
Obviously, Poppy has checked out the hole
And told the mole off.....
So that should be that!!!
Off to card class this evening.
hope you are all fine
Sunday spring cleaning...
I am not sure if it is the change in weather today
but I felt the need to do some serious Spring
cleaning, and almost got to the stage where it
looked much worse than before I started!
It was actually quite tidy before hand!
I have gutted out cupboards & there are bags now
for the charity shop, recycling, and rubbish.
I have sorted my craft room, puts spare
bits over to the playgroup, got stuff for posting.
And finished off these two cards!
I have used my distressing inks again.
Am quiet pleased with this one.
The text on the tag is the See D one
I used on todays Crafty Pad's DT card.
It is a slightly smaller card than I usually
make, but I need it to fit in a padded envelope
I have with images to be posted off.
I do love this penny black stamp.
I think I might invest in it.
This card is one I am making as a set for my sister.
The text is her favourite, so for her birthday,
I am planning to make her several cards
with this text on it for her to give away.
Well that's the plan!
The leaves are from my lovely mate Dawn.
The wee lassie is of course a sugar nellie.
I have started decorating a coffee mate tin
like the one Amanda did for me for my sister.
Pictures of that when it is finished.
I have done this image with distressing inks....
but am not so happy with the end result.
I need to edge it with the ink pad....
but dose anyone have any tips with
colouring the background, it just looks
a wee bit rough....I know thats
what distressing is.....but.....
Away to go blog hopping now....
much love
My Pocket holds a wee poem on a See D stamp.
My Flowers are a bit smudged, as I say
I am still trying to get to grips with the inks.
Family Day off
With Andrew now working a new shift pattern,
he now works some weekends.
I used to work shifts but am now off each weekend.
We can be back to passing ships in the night.
But it is better than when we were both on shifts.
So a woodland walk with Poppy-dog.
Then we had a beautiful meal in Chapter One
a fairly new place to eat in a near by town.
Firstly you get home made baked bread
with tomato, herbs and onion in it.
Scrummy main courses
of steak for Andrew & Ravioli for me.
We had to share a pudding!!!
We had to!!!
LOL
This is their mile high strawberry cheesecake.
With fresh strawberries and sauce.
It was served with a mango and strawberry puree
in the wee glass that you drink with the wafer straw!
Home made millionaires shortbread.....
and home made chocolate ice cream in a chocolate cup....
that was topped with Popping candy!!!
Now ....while I go and finish off some crafty stuff
I will leave you with a sneaky peek
for tomorrow's Crafty Pad
lots of love
Busy Busy Poppy Dog
A Poppy dog is a busy dog.
It's not just sitting around waiting on dinner.
You get kept busy tending the garden...
It's takes planning ......
You need to brush the slabs and gravel.
get right down to inspect the fine detail..
Only stopping to have a healthy snack
Then sometimes you need to water the pots....
A sprinkle here....
A good soaking there..
dashed hose is stuck again.....
And then you rest!!!
All this hard work while my mum goes away
and hers her hair cut & coloured!!!
