Crafty Pad # 8

Wow!
we are on challenge #8 over at Crafty Pad!

This weeks Challenge is LURVE!!

So interpret this in any way you want.
You do not have to use the Faith stamps,
but we would be delighted if you would
and you will get your name entered
twice in our prize draw!

I used the Love heart stamps from
the Faith with Love stamps.
There are three hearts with beautiful detail on them. I love these hearts,
I have used them to make butterflies and flowers.

And I by stamping onto pink card I made a flower
and on pink felt I made a brooch!

Now I am told this 4 by 4 piece is a fat page.

I made the pink hearts into a flower
using silicon glue to raise it up.
Green ribbon makes the leaves.
A button and silver thread
makes the centre.

I started with a pink felt.
Stamped the heart four times in a flower shape.

I cut the whole flower out in one piece,
used pink thread & tiny pink metallic beads
to edge the hearts.

I then used one strand of
silver embroidery thread to stick the
criss cross inside the heart.

A button was sew on the centre with
the same silver thread, leaving long tails.
I added more tails by repeating this step
a couple of times.
I added two small heart shaped charms
with the same thread.

The next layer is pink netting material.
which i hacked into a flower type shape.
I sewed it on folding as I went
to give more shape.
I pulled threads around the edges.
I cut the leaf shape out
in one piece of green felt
This also hid all the messy stitching
on the pink netting.

A fastener is stitched onto the back
and I placed this on the card after
making two small holes with my crop o dile.

Hope you like this wee brooch.
It is my first attempt at a fat page
and this type of brooch.

Go have a wee look at my other D'teamies work!

wee sneaky peekie

sneaky peak!

for tomorrows Crafty Pad Challenge.

can you guess what it is yet???

Game old birdie

My Lovely Friend Jackie
is as you might say a game old bird!
She is 76 years young!

She is so young at heart and a dear friend to A & Me.
I had planned to make her a card
with a birdie on it
and put game old bird!
But instead, I ended up with this!
I heat embossed the heart with olive powder.

I am entering it in Papertake weekly
who want hearts and flowers.

And colour create a new colour challenge blog
are looking for brown, pink and green .

friday things

It's been a busy week.
I am more tired back at work
than I thought I would be.
Have done no crafting all week till today.

This card is for a friends Birthday next week.
and is my entry in the Magnolia V's Stampavie
colour challenge.
They are looking for cocoa, sage, white and pink.
The green layering is not quite sage
but the leaves on the Elf are.

The masking effect was following a "How to...."
By Natalie on NG Cards.
Thank you Babes!

The leather effect cord on the tag
was from a tag on a bag of loose tea leaves !

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have layered up the made by stamp
that I got from the Lovely Sammi,
and used it on the back of all my cards.
This next card is also for a friends Birthday,
several of my friends have Birthdays this month.
It is being entered in Cute Card Thursday
who are looking for Metal items on your card.
It has sliver shimmery coloured card
in two pieces of layering.
A metal hanging embellishment.
And two cat themed metal brads,
& three pink metal brads on the cat's square.
It's my take on Janina's sketch at JCBC.
It has a bow on the sketch but
I wanted to use this hanging embellishment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And lastly is a card for my Dad.
It's not his birthday till next month,
but I used a sketch from Sketch & Stash. #3
The stash is my Sugar Nellie stamp ~ Macbeth
and the new thing I used were distressing inks.
This is my first time using them to colour.
I need to practice a bit more with them.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.
love Tina xx

Faith ~ word

Over at Crafty Pad we are using our Faith has the word stamps with
Embossing
Any kind of embossing, dry, heat, liquid.

So come and join in with us....
you can do a card, ATC, fat page, altered Art
and you don't have to use a Faith stamp...
but obviously we would love it if you do!!

The new stamps, and there is four in
Faith she's got the Word range
are available to buy from today.

So here is my card.

I used Tres Belle Faith stamp here.
and the shoes have been heat enamel embossed twice.
(top tip...do not rub your eyes while playing with this stuff!!
The hearts are from the Faith Love series.
And are 75 for three of them!!! Bargin!

They have been stamped on black and red card
and then heat embossed with silver on red card
and white embossing powder on the black card,

I have slightly folder the hearts and shoes to give it more
of a 3D effect & used silicon glue to stick them down.

Faith herself has been coloured using whisper pens,
but when I used 3D liquid embossing glaze.....
it turned more of an orange red!!!!

I used the cuttle bug to emboss both the red shimmery
card and the red vellum.
and the shimmery hearts are cut out from
Crafty Ribbons Valentine ribbons.

The sentiment was a gift from my lovely Friend Chrissy!
Thanks babe!
I have been looking for a way to use that stamp!

Go check out the other DT's fab cards !!

I have been having lighting problems for taking my pictures....
I have tried it in various places like....

outside on top of our gas BBQ

and on top of the wheelie bin!!

The best place seems to be at the back door
mid afternoon,
so thats where I took it!
