Puppy Love?

Brodie is over while his Mum goes out for the evening.
Poppy is delighted, Brodie's mum brought raw hide bones for both doggies!!!
Only problem is Poppy wants the bit Brodie has,
Brodie wants the bit Poppy has,
and so it goes on...........and on.....and on...

It is actually doing Poppy the world of good!
Saying that.....as I type this, she is getting carried away & being a bit
too boisterous.
She has just nipped him as he was gnawing her foot!
He gives as good as he gets and always had the last nip!
She corners him and rugby tackles him!
He stands underneath her and bites her feet!

Sue, Brodie's mum has a new job in a new office,
so I altered this cube note holder for her.

I am not happy with the rub on paw prints.
I think I may have had them too long.
I used my usual tool to apply them, which normally dose the job.
But bits were well & truly stuck to the plastic,
No mater how many I tried they just didn't come off as cleanly as normal.
I settled for the best applied pieces for the holder.

This is from Poppy to Brodie for Valentines.

This was the last of my Valentines Ribbon & it had a crease in it,
Hope it smooths out straight.

And to Archie..who lives with Shirleyanne.

I forgot about the animal brads until I was finished Brodie's card!

sniffs & sneezes

Its snowing thick and fast here today,
and I am full of this blasted cold again!
I don't think it has ever completely gone away.

Anyway, here is a few cards
I have done over the last few days.

This one is one I started last week
following Mada's sketch on JCBC.
It is from a few weeks ago, so too late to enter it.

But I couldn't get round to doing it before
and it is such a pretty sketch I wanted to try it out.

The flower is made of heart stamps
that came free in a magazine.
I really like heart flowers just now!
The text is using my cuttle bug.
I will enter it on arty girlz challenge
Who are looking for " flowers"
Also One Stop Craft Challenge want circles.
The flower is on a circle base, the brads are circles
The button is round & there are wee circles
or dots on the hearts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next one is also from JCBC sketches #18
is by my lovely friend Amanda who has loads of snow!!
It is ment to have a sentiment on it but I
didn't want to add the sentiment I made on the computer cause the person it is for reads my blog!!
I am not sure who sent me the pink cuttlebug card.
I layered it on silver mirror card.
The naughty or nice was also a swap & it is on pink mirror card.
I used silver ink pad to stamp wee
snowflakes on the shimmery card.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The last card is also a Christmas card.
Part of my plan to get a head start on Xmas cards this year. I have now a grand total of
.....................3!!!

This one is following a sketch by
Laura at 2 sketches 4 you!
They do the most beautiful sketches.

You know I am not that keen on FF bears.
I have real problems getting my shading right.
But I do love the backing papers you get from them,
and this is using one of their Xmas pads.

Andrew is doing much better.
Thank you for all your emails & messages asking how he was.

He is hobbling along, but has been seen by my lovely
therapist friend who did some treatment on him
and that has speeded up his recovery !

He did make our friend a beautiful Birthday cake

We hid it in the cupboard, it was very yummy.

It was all a bit too much for Poppy.
She had a lovely time with Brodie,
but wanted to snuggle in with him and have a sleep.

But he was too busy with a squeaky ball to sleep!

Every time she snuggled closer, he moved away!
He is coming round again this evening.
His mum is going out to a party
and he is having another play date with Poppy dog,
no point in picking up all those toys!

Stay warm!
Be back later with some photos we have taken .

Love Tina xx

cars & bikes

This is the only card I have made
since my wee production the other day.
Our neighbour passed her driving test.

I am entering it on the
House Mouse Monday Challenge
who are looking for a tall card.

We have still got a wee drop of snow.
Mostly, the problem is ice now.
It was -7 when I went to work this morning.
And -9'c when Andrew cycled home after his night shift.

Aye , you did read that right....he cycled home.
Not usually a problem.
We live near the RAF base he works on,
and it is quicker for him to cycle than drive.
For the first time ever...almost 20 years.....
he hit ice & came right off his bike!

He hss badly bruised his hip and leg.
A trip to the local surgery this afternoon
ended with some lovely pain killers from the GP.
My lovely therapist friend is coming to the house
tomorrow to give him a treatment.

My trip home from work started with my car
sliding on ice trying to get out of my parking space!
No damage done, but a bit scary!

I do like snow, but am not so keen on ice!

Stay safe & warm.

love tina x

Crafty Pad # 8

Wow!
we are on challenge #8 over at Crafty Pad!

This weeks Challenge is LURVE!!

So interpret this in any way you want.
You do not have to use the Faith stamps,
but we would be delighted if you would
and you will get your name entered
twice in our prize draw!

I used the Love heart stamps from
the Faith with Love stamps.
There are three hearts with beautiful detail on them. I love these hearts,
I have used them to make butterflies and flowers.

And I by stamping onto pink card I made a flower
and on pink felt I made a brooch!

Now I am told this 4 by 4 piece is a fat page.

I made the pink hearts into a flower
using silicon glue to raise it up.
Green ribbon makes the leaves.
A button and silver thread
makes the centre.

I started with a pink felt.
Stamped the heart four times in a flower shape.

I cut the whole flower out in one piece,
used pink thread & tiny pink metallic beads
to edge the hearts.

I then used one strand of
silver embroidery thread to stick the
criss cross inside the heart.

A button was sew on the centre with
the same silver thread, leaving long tails.
I added more tails by repeating this step
a couple of times.
I added two small heart shaped charms
with the same thread.

The next layer is pink netting material.
which i hacked into a flower type shape.
I sewed it on folding as I went
to give more shape.
I pulled threads around the edges.
I cut the leaf shape out
in one piece of green felt
This also hid all the messy stitching
on the pink netting.

A fastener is stitched onto the back
and I placed this on the card after
making two small holes with my crop o dile.

Hope you like this wee brooch.
It is my first attempt at a fat page
and this type of brooch.

Go have a wee look at my other D'teamies work!

love Tina xx
