Look at Poppy's new trick!

Yes that is a dog treat on her nose!
Yes she left it there until being told the command to take it!
This only took TWO attempts with Hubby this afternoon!!

Yes she is a clever clever Puppy!!

Now, If only I could train Hubby to behave so well!!!

not my usual style at all!

I tried something new today with the old card making....not sure I like results.

long time to deliver!

Two ladies at work had had new grand babies in the last wee while.
And I have been a bit slow in making these cards for them.

Jean's baby Grand daughter is called Matilda, Tilda for short.


I made this folded star type card for her with details about her birth....

And Marlene's daughter had a baby boy. Keir.

I made a much simpler card, but I like it just as much. I don't know his birth details.
The both have a little bit of ribbon on them but I thought I would put Tilda's one into the Thursday challenge....do you think it has enough ribbon for that?
Will need to go have a good look at the challenge and see...

Poppy Post!!!

I am still feeling under the weather, but the post I got this morning cheered me up so much!!!

It was poppy staring at some cream that she was trying to get by the power of thought alone!!!

well this arrived this morning from the wonderful Chrissy!!!!

It has captured the look in Poppy's eye when she was staring at the food so well!
I am just delighted with it!

I am gonna take some pictures of it and then get it properly framed!

nice bug, not so nice bug

haven't felt very well in the last few days....

I had a migraine yesterday, which is still lingering a bit, but I think I also have some sort of bug.
Slept a few times during the day cuddled into Poppy with a fleecy blanket
as I couldn't get warm.
Haven't even got dressed out of my PJ's today.

I have spent a wee while on and off looking round blogs....
And discovered this challenge...for winged things.
I tried to link a banner here, but haven't had brain power to do so....

So I finished a half made card I started the other day and added a
brooch I made from beads and wire.
A much nicer bug I think!


I think it needs a sentiment or something...but I am not sure who it is for....
And I think I will keep the brooch....

Susie's Black & White challenge

I was blurfing ( i think you call it that!)
Surfing around links on peoples blogs ...and ended up here on Susie's blog.

She has done the most beautiful Black and white Wedding Announcement Photo holders.
And set a challenge to celebrate Her wedding and almost 20,000 hits.
This is my Black & White creation that I made this evening using my new cuttle bug and a die I used at Emma's this afternoon to make tags!

the white card is pearlised and glimmers very nicely when you see.
The white embossing was my second attempt, that stuff is sticky and I smudged it and finger printed it all over the place!
You would have thought I would have learned after the white embossing smudges the other day!

new things and chocolate cake!

I have had a lovely weekend.
Spent last week with Hubby as Pops recovered,
been saving my pennies and got a few nice new things in shopping trips this weekend.....
I am a very lucky lassie!
I love this fairy stamp, and Emma kindly gave me some stamped images of her,
but I saw her in Sally's shop and just had to take her home with me!
I love her to bits!
She lives pride of place on my new stand to use to photograph cards...
I KNOW ITS SAD!!!!
Don't judge me! we all have weird habits!



My little dragon fly was bough in a fair traid shop while in Aberdeen.
You don't see how pretty she is here, but she is lovely!


this huge spoon with a hook on the back and flat base for scraping is a jam spoon!
So are you getting the feeling I have strange ideas about goodies?
My hubby makes the nicest jams I have ever tasted.
And his parents are coming to see us next Sunday, after stopping off at fruit shop and taking us request berries, so we will be making jam baby!

And my last goodie....well my lovely lovely Hubby bought me a cuttle bug for my birthday,
well its for that, and Christmas, and easter, and thanksgiving and any other holiday that I think requires a gift for months to come!
I spent the afternoon playing with it at Emma's having a shottie of her many die's and embossing folders!
All in all a good few days!
