stuff

Am getting in to the swing of Andrew being on night shifts.
Not Poppy though, she can't understand
how she is not allowed in the bedroom while he is sleeping,
let alone chew and chomp on her nylon bone beside him!

She may have been my idea but she is his girl!
I am more strict with her.

She is watching a cat in the garden in this photo.....
cats are scary and not to go near!

Right....what did I get done today.

Well over at The Sugar Bowl #2 challenge they want things in three's.

"use three different design papers
and three different types of embellishments on your cards!
No more, no less.
(by types of embellishments we mean, buttons, brads, flowers, ribbons, beads, bling etc)

Also if you can use three suagr nellie stamps you get entrered in the prize draw twice!

So here we have Hamish, Maggie and Angus the dog with his bone.
So that's three stamps.

I used the blue spotty paper, and blue paper that looks like water
and then tartan backing paper on it.
My three types of embellishments are the ribbon, the flowers
and the brads in the flower centres.

The inside.

I enjoyed making this, am not sure who to send it to as I am up to date with my image swaps.
Including extra ones I promised folk.
So ....was thinking I might offer it and some ribbons as a wee blog candy.
One each of 20 different images including the new Leanne Ellis set of six,
and the trio on the front of the wallet.
Also my fave one just now, Daisy.

What I will do is offer it and some other stuff next month
when it will be one year since I started this blog.
My hits counter has gone belly up twice now,
so has been removed.

It also covers the ABC Challenge which is W for wallet!
I love their challenges, and love looking to see what
they are coming up with for this weeks letter!
Be interesting to see what they do next week for X.....

Next is my ATC covers a couple of challeges too...
This Thursday are looking for something with whiskers!
It is of course a house mouse. Thanks to Chrissy for this cute guy.

Over at House Mouse Monday Challenge they are looking for an ATC.
I am trying out mixed media.
The wee thingy on the end of the green cord is a leaf stamped onto shirnk plastic.
I embossed the green white core card using my birdie cuttle bug folder.
Then sanded it a wee bit and used gold ink and walnet distressing ink on it.

I have had skeleton leaves for a while but never knew what to do with them!

Is it too much for an ATC?

you all doing ok?
much love Teen xx

Sammi !!!

Check out my lovely friend Sammi's blog candy!

chill out !

I had a busy day yesterday but today.....Ahhhhh not today!

I had a long lie, Andrew fed Poppy before he went to work,
she came and cuddled me.....and then we didn't waken up till 10am!!

A woodland walk with Poppy....a relaxing lunch followed.

Then reflexology with the lovely Shelagh.
And my mate S came round to see me, shared a curry I had made yesterday,
always think these things taste better the next day.

Then this evening Sue came round with Brodie....Poppy's pal!

They had great fun....and she is now sleeping!

Blissful.
I am back to work part time next week.

Even looking forward to that.

see...I can do cheerful!!!!

day 13...

Day 13 of 2009!!

Thank you to Natalie who made up for laughing at me
telling how I was out in the storm in my nightie
picking up recycling in the middle of the night!!!!

This arrived for me today!

I used the mouse with the cake to make this wee card.

Its smaller than I normally make but used up the scrappy bits of
papermania SCRUMPTIOUS.

It is using Dawny P's sketch for Papertake weekly.

Arty Girlz want us to Button it....so it has buttons on.
And My Time to Craft say Mice and easy!

I need to have a look at paper piecing for the spoonful of sugar challenge.

Been a lovely slow relaxing day today.....
Talking of slow....
I was late posting this for Jen's Birthday the other week.

but the post office seem to be on a go slow just now too....
and it arrived at long last today!

I found this picture online years ago, can't remember where,
but if you look at the picture straight on it is a mountain range....
and side on it is
an adult and child! I love it !

Did you turn you head to the side to look?

No?

You are now though aren't you!!!

I responded to Crafty Ribbons challenge to use their new Valentines ribbons to make two valentines cards....I got a lovely load of ribbons to play with.

I didn't take a great picture.....and had already used some of the ribbons...
I was too busy planning what I was going to do with all the lovely ribbons!!
There was more buttons and puffed hearts to play with ,
but they are already stuck on a card!

I got my Valentines cards ready to post Pat who is collecting them for the children at Children's Hospital of Michigan.

But just looked at the photo and a metalic heart in the corner
has slipped and needs to be taken off and re-glued back down on the next card.

Thanks to Curt for posting about that.
Have you seen what blog candy he has on offer!
And go have a look at his fab photos!

Oh and I forgot ER was back for its last series.
I must admit....I used to love it but have going off it the
last few series for some reason.
It is time I think for them to call it quits.

But OMG I cried last night when I watched it!!
So sad. I know it only a programme.....BUT!!!!

Anyway...............

Kaths Blog candy!

The generous Kath is having another give away!!!
go look at her blog and see what fab cards she makes!#

it's Monday baby!!!! 3rd post of today

Today is the start of another week!
see positive mental attitude!!! do you hear my manic laughter?!?!

Decided an early night was best last night....But couldn't sleep.
Andrew was on night shift and I was just awake.
So got up and coloured some images, as you do!
Go on I know you all do it !!! LOL

Then Poppy decided since I was awake it must be breakfast!
So got her a doggy bickie and we both went to bed.

Half an hour later about 1am the was this all mighty crash outside!
Our garden rubbish wheelie bin had blown over in the wind and knocked over our glass/tin recycling bin! Which was starting to blow right down the street!
So here I was outside picking it all up in my nighty!!!
Thank goodness the paper recycling bin didn't blow over!
It was full of the scrappies and shards from my craft room bin!!!

So back to bed......
6 am Poppy was awake and chewing her rawhide bone on the bed beside me.....
So that was confiscated!!!
7 am looking for for her breakfast I gave up!!!!

So I am pottering around but couldn't get hovering and noisy housework done as Andrew was now in bed sleeping ......so I did what any good crafter would do.....

finished off a card and a calender !!!!

well this is for Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge,
"anything but a card!"
The beautiful Image was snet to me by the Fabulous Dawny P and my choice of colour was inspired by Dawn who loves browns and orange!
It is also my take on a sketch....but can I find which one is used? NOPE!
will have to go surfing to see!
I made one!
I did it!
my first Christmas card of 2009!!!
Andrew came through when he woke up and said,
what you making?? A Christmas card! you are mental!!!
And left the room !!!

I used sketch #14 by Tanja over at Just Christmas and Birthday cards!
I love the layout and will use it again!

The holly leaves are done using a punch so I can enter it in one stop craft challenge

One down....only how many more to go.....

Will be back later, am waiting on a couple of things drying.

hugs n love
xox

please read and pass on.

I was reading about two wonderful causes yesterday and today in friends blogs...

Firstly go and see Curts blog to read his post about a Valentines challenge and blog candy.
Curt says
"My post today is my contribution to Pat Adam's cause for the children at Children's Hospital of Michigan. Pat was given a very tall request by the administrator there. She asked if Pat could come up with 1,000 valentines for the kids to swap with each other and give to parents and staff. Yes, you read it correctly, 1,000. So I, along with a bunch of other stampers have committed to help with this huge request. So, today I will show you what I made to send. Stay tuned because I'm giving away some blog candy as well as several others if you choose to help with this worthy project."

The lovely Curt has made 24 cards!!!
7 beautiful designs.

Go and have a look and while you are there check out his beautiful photographs and his handsome doggies !

Information there about sending cards is all on the blog!

I have almost finished two to send to Pat, hope she gets them in time!

Secondly please go to my friend Gina's blog and read about her friend Steph.
Life is hard for many people and this is heartbreaking.

She is trying to help raise funds for a lady called Steph who has been told she has
around 5 Months to live and is desperate to try to prolong her life
by having special treatment in Germany that she can't receive in the UK.

I will go make a donation and have made this card to send to a friend of mine
who is also fighting cancer just now.

Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet
is fighting some kind of battle!
